Followed by appealing the red card as I was only protecting myself against what he might do???? A preemptive defense? I like it. Boof
And the BBC have the brass bollocks to publish that complete and utter load of shite? Speaks volumes, IMO.

jb102
Marcus Mcgee can tell you all about Slippy Gerrard protecting himself. By that I mean an unprovoked violent assault caught on cctv. When tried by a jury of his peers (in Liverpool) found not guilty. Maybe those jurors are now in the employ of the SFA.
colinmaroon
Gerrard is a blithering idiot! His level of intelligence is very low, confirmed by the way that he's soaked up all the prejudice of that awful new club and it's equally awful previous incarnation. What has taken over 300 years to produce the knuckle-draggers that support them, he has taken in in months. Only an empty skull could take in all that so quickly. His comments regarding Morelos are not bordering on the ridiculous, they're way past the border! If Gerrard really thinks that these three incidents in that game were him protecting himself, I think the DVLA better take away his driving licence. Just read all of the reports. The barman gave evidence that he saw slippy deliver a few uppercuts to the guy, which was verified by CCTV, and still he gets off!!
