wonder if there is an appeal system to FIFA, surely its not right for a player to be considered as played for two clubs when they only played 78 mins for one in the season.

It's a strictly upheld rule as far as i can see. Hatem Ben Arfa wasn't able to play for Nice when they first signed him because he'd already played for Hull and Newcastle U21s.

It's definitely per season and not per calendar year.

JW had a few good games a season with a heart of a mouse, let's not forget he gave up the min Rangers were sniffing about. No thanks, had his chance and blew it doesn't deserve another.

Of course it's right that a player's deemed to have played for two clubs in a season when he's played for two clubs in a season. There's not much grey area there, it's pretty clear.

Jordan Jones to Rangers now.

Scottish football has missed it's chance.

As I said before though, Jordan Jones has scored 2 goals this season and provided 0 assists.

Last season, 4 assists, season before 4 assists,in two and a half seasons he has a total of 8 assists. If we had a winger with those sorts of stats he would be getting slaughtered, never mind in a team that is absolutely flying.

I think we will be placing Jones in the O'Halloran category before long

And one the two goals this season was a fluke.

He’s average and he’ll be squad filler for Rangers.

Leeds name only 5 subs in a less than half strength side.

Shaughnessy NOT included

Hopefully strengthens our chances of getting him on loan.

Would still prefer Jimmy Dunne to return though ?

Did they not say tomorrow he'd sign? Could be right

What about Andy Webster and Ryan Stevenson? Left the club on poor terms and returned. Second chance to prove himself.

Webster was quality and Stevenson was a grafter. JW is neither. There can't be many who think JW would make a difference to us with his one good game in 6 and tiny heart.

His goal scoring wasn't bad.

Not seeing anything special in him to be honest, good engine as they say though and good feet. Maybe Djoum's replacement if he goes

Two in, is that us done? Or is there more to come?

No idea, however being greedy would like a winger !!

Id give him a 5 months deal till May. Make him earn a new deal. That would get the best out of him

He was quite good at St J from memory. Seems to have gone off the rails a bit since leaving for the currants.

Maybe be a short deal could be the way to go, if CL is interested of course!

Got a feeling we may well have finished even this early

Wouldn't be surprised, need to focus on getting contracts sorted for next season, maybe some pre-contracts along with extentions. Maybe a winger could be brought in towards the end of the window if we're able to offload a couple of players

O'Halleran is a bit of a speed merchant but not too brilliant otherwise.  Another ex-hun freed by Plymouth. Gregg Wylde, likewise.

If we could not do better, then a 5 months deal is all I'd give.

If anything I think we'll see some pre-contracts being agreed for next season

If there's one thing to slow you down it's a dodgy hamstring, would be a good 6 month option to prove his fitness and desire though.

Craig Levein did say before the window that he wouldn't be making anymore signings.

Obviously the Shaughnessy one was forced apon him with Dunne leaving.

I actually don't think we need anymore in. Maybe a winger but with Souttar, Ikpeazu and Cochrane injured that's essentially 3 'new' players still to come back.

Then we've got Burns and Edwards who are back but probably only squad players at best.

Can’t imagine we have recalled Edwards just to let him go (if clubs are interested) but could be a possibility.

Did we actually recall him? BBC article seemed to give the impression that St Mirren had cancelled the loan along with a few others.

I stand corrected. That puts that possibility to bed. I made the assumption we recalled Edwards due to burns also coming back. Never thought about st mirren manager assemblin his own squad of players.

Btw it was Livingston who sent Burns back. Deemed not quick enough going forward or strong enough at the back. IMO harsh as hes only 19

They are playing a high intensity, physical game.

And they have other players in Burns' preferred position further forward. Still good experience for him.

He's just unlucky he played in League Cup so can't get another loan. Alan Stubbs made that point when current group set up was arranged. That it would harm young players prospects.

I think FIFA/ UEFA need to look at that rule again.
