Rocky jamboa
It's a pity there's no sponser on it. Who was it that year? I was thinking Renault or Alexanders Edit - I've just checked. It was mita! Edited December 14, 2018 by Paulp74
Debut 4
I had both strip and tracksuit. Memories flooding back of a Xmas Day pic somewhere I have of myself proud as punch while wearing the full strip. ?.

Edit: Brilliant Hearts team but that season showed what you can do with a settled team and not many injuries. Imagine that year's team if Levein, Jardine, Clark and Robbo had all got injured at the same time! MacDonald and Sandison central defence, McNaughton the lone striker up front! Puts things in perspective any time someone talks about a perceived "lack of strength in depth" in this season's squad, especially up front. dannymack
The top is from 1983 and lasted until 1986, 3 seasons of different sponsors, Alexander's, Renault and Mita (copiers).

They featured the sponsors too.

been here before
45 sheets for the top and 60 for the 'jacket'. Where do they dig up those prices!?

BM1874
Really nice top santa brought me it, via some complaining that I changed my mind on the 72 Ajax style one as someone from here kindly gave me their toffs one. Fits nicely though arms are a little tighter than I prefer. Good quality as well

Where do they dig up those prices!? I would presume the pricing is due to the low numbers they make them in. Hearts aren't exactly selling the same amount of items as Primark or Mark and Spencers. I would suggest that these items are being for a very niche market and made in the hundreds not thousands. I know they only made 1998 shirts for the 98 Scottish Cup Winners replica shirt and you can still buy it in every size on the web page so that might give an indication of how few of these items actually get sold. Big money market at the moment is retro tops. Endorsed by Umbro will probably hike the price up a bit too.
