The club has a new Retro Top for sale in the club shop. It's the 1985-86 home Top. It's priced at £45.00. Theubare also doing a tracksuit top from the same year. They look great , bought my home Top today.

Such a shame they could't get the collar right

It's a pity there's no sponser on it. Who was it that year? I was thinking Renault or Alexanders

Edit - I've just checked. It was mita!

I had both strip and tracksuit.

Memories flooding back of a Xmas Day pic somewhere I have of myself proud as punch while wearing the full strip. ?.

Brilliant Hearts team but that season showed what you can do with a settled team and not many injuries. Imagine that year's team if Levein, Jardine, Clark and Robbo had all got injured at the same time! MacDonald and Sandison central defence, McNaughton the lone striker up front! Puts things in perspective any time someone talks about a perceived "lack of strength in depth" in this season's squad, especially up front.

Looks far better without a sponsor. All tops do!

I'm pretty sure the replicas were sold without sponsors back then too.

I wish it had the Mita on it as it's so iconic. Plus I can tell the "We mita won the league that year son!" dad joke every time I wear it.

There was a site recently doing reproductions of this, the silver and early 80s tops. Aztecretro I think. They featured the sponsors too.

Really nice top

santa brought me it, via some complaining that I changed my mind on the 72 Ajax style one as someone from here kindly gave me their toffs one.

Fits nicely though arms are a little tighter than I prefer.

Good quality as well

Wish they’d do the silver away top. That is sex on legs.

Hideous top that has only bad memories ultimately

45 sheets for the top and 60 for the 'jacket'. Where do they dig up those prices!?

I would presume the pricing is due to the low numbers they make them in. Hearts aren't exactly selling the same amount of items as Primark or Mark and Spencers.

I would suggest that these items are being for a very niche market and made in the hundreds not thousands.

I know they only made 1998 shirts for the 98 Scottish Cup Winners replica shirt and you can still buy it in every size on the web page so that might give an indication of how few of these items actually get sold.

Big money market at the moment is retro tops. Endorsed by Umbro will probably hike the price up a bit too.

Was the size you got, your usual size of top? Are they cut with a slimmer fit?

Usual size for me.

if I’m honest it doesn’t seem any different than the navy 3rd kit fit, apart from a little tighter on the arm
