Another Labour related meme.

Image may contain: 2 people, people sitting and text

Except you have it entirely the wrong way round- it’s only the better off who give away half, and they generally don’t get given anything.

Your meme would be more accurate as “ even under a Tory government they still take half your toys off you , and give them to the kid next door who promptly comes back round and asks for the rest as half your toys aren’t enough, and he still resents you for having half your toys left”

Bollocks. A health service, publicly funded education and major infrastructure, state pensions, police, fireman and national defence are but a small amount of things higher earners will get for paying tax.

The meme is bowfing. But arguing the well off get little is a nonsense. Just think how much more the selling get in Scotland compared to elsewhere. Can send their kids to uni for nothing, never need to pay for paracetamol and enjoy a freeze in the rates of council tax.

Universalism should be good for all. If run well. Otherwise it's subsidy for the middle classes. Especially when local authority budgets continue to be cut.

It's not though.

A subsidy for the middle class that is.

we use the NHS the least but pay the most.

we pay most into council tax coffers, yet get the least out.

if we enter nursing homes, we lose our houses and savings , yet get the same service as those who paid nothing.

Strange subsidy that!

The biased broadcasting corporation are writing off the only song in the running for Christmas number one that is giving ALL its proceeds to charity - the Trussell Trust.

The link between the bbc being in the pockets of the Tories and the need for the Trussell Trust and other food banks increasing under this government and the resulting article is noted. How about we all download it for less than a quid, and help out those who need it most this winter?

Is this not to do with the way the charts are calculated (streams v downloads etc)?

The article isn’t doing anything other than telling us that the way the sales are calculated means it will not be #1

No?

Tories don't tax. It's their philosophy.  More accurately would be Tory kids laughing at the poor kids for having feck all, as their Maws and Das  are too skint to even feed them, as they work only 70 hrs a week and someone has to pay for tax cuts for the so called wealth creation scumbags who pay feck all to feck all, even tho they enjoy the infrastructure, police, military and every other service. No , no one helps them, they do it themselves, so they do.

Spot the difference in morals, empathy , human decency and above all the nature of character in the leader of the Labour party and the Leader of the CONS.

They say action speaks louder than words.

This will be another one that Yawnrazor dislikes.

He's not wrong and he wouldn't have been wrong for saying "stupid woman" in the circumstances. Of course, he'd have been all sexist and mysoginistic if he'd said "stupid woman".

He's not the sharpest operator but nor is he Gordon Brown.

Whatever he said, the damage has been done. He’s not wrong, but he’s the leader of the opposition and isn’t doing himself or Labour any favours especially after his spineless threat at bringing forward a motion of no confidence.

Labour are becoming more unelectable by the day. If anything he is making Theresa May’s position as PM look even more secure. He should really resign. Sir Keir Starmer looks like the only person on his benches capable of leading Labour. Someone far more articulate and intelligent than Corbyn.

Why not just own it?!?! If he thinks it, tell it like it is. It’s not sexist language ffs.

Embarassing cowardice from Corbyn to pretend he didn’t say it, and then lie about it all.

Embarassing politiking from the Tories, seeking to divert attention from the absolute cluster**** that is their party.

All in all, pretty symptomatic of the utter dregs we have ruling us at the moment.

In my view he clearly says woman, now he has lied in parliament.  Yet for me that isn't the key point.  The key point that he is such an inept polictian and a scandalously  bad leader of the opposition.   The Tories are on the ropes right now and because of his petty lack of self control he has ensured the headlines are about him and potential sexism.  He is not fit to lead and this proves it again.

Sorry, I think he clearly mouthed "woman" but the Tories should beware of creating a huge issue out of this.  It is obvious they are trying to deflect attention away from their failings, especially the Brexit mess but also the state of the poorest in our society at Christmas/UC roll-out etc.

There are many in the Labour party eg Harriet Harman etc who will be annoyed and if, although unlikely, the issue escalates out of hand within his own party, JC may be forced or choose to resign.  That could lead to the election of a "more acceptable" Labour leader (without the Corbyn baggage) and the Tories would finish up regretting their deflection tactic.

To be honest, I looked at it once and could bear being proved wrong. One way or the other, it should be no big deal. Firstly, May is an awful woman - it shouldn't need said; secondly, Corbyn should be destroying her, not just muttering hard truths under his breath.
