First start tonight for Northern Ireland

Is it really? I thought he'd had a good few starts.

Just gone off after holding his calf

Subbed off after 70 mins with a calf problem. Hopefully, a precaution.

Just before going off, he hit a superb low cross into the box from the bye-line and only an excellent block from Randolph cleared the danger.

Oh great another possible injury to a starter! Just what we need! Hope you're right about the precaution and it's nothing.

You neglected to mention the obligatory long throw ins

He was moving quite freely after he signalled the problem. Suggests a tight muscle or a bit of cramp.

FT 0-0 but still entertaining. N Ireland have had the best of the chances and only excellent keeping by Randolph and some poor choices by forwards kept them from scoring.

They are just routine now but do cause a bit of a stir.

Fully deserved.

He’s having a good season for us.

Couldn't agree more.

I said to my dad after the first few games of the season that I thought he was a weak link but he's certainly proven me wrong.

Who usually plays RB for NI? Find it crazy Smith hasn't got more caps than he has.

Conor McLaughlin and Paddy McNair I think

How did Michael play? Never managed to catch the game

Thought he was excellent. Really involved used the ball well and got stuck in. Played a big part in a dominant performance

Tbh I might be being harsh here but thought he was (partially) at fault for the winning goal

he seemed to get sucked in as Austria broke, leaving the goal scorer with enough time and space to compose himself to pick his spot.

i don’t mean this as a negative slant in him, as I rate him quite highly but to be honest it’s great he’s another getting capped whilst here at hearts

Hearts has been a good career move for Michael Smith

Very good ye. Best clubs he's played for, hopefully he stays. I think he has the right side nailed down ?

Well done to Smith. He has however been quite poor in his last couple of games for Hearts IMO.

Well done on getting his cap's, I like him and he has had a good season for us so far, my only little gripe is that i think he can be a bit slow/caught on the back foot at times, happy to have him in the team regardless.
