Poor Neil, always getting picked on for being a catholic from Northern Ireland.

Or something like that.

Shearer is clearly a sectarian bigot.

“Having been cautioned for dissent during the game, which Rangers won 3-1, the midfielder persisted in haranguing referee Stuart Dougal after the final whistle and was shown the red card. But, in his angry attempt to confront Dougal, Lennon appeared to push linesman Jim Lyon more than once.”

Holy shit. That’s some list.

There was also the time he was caught on video squaring up to bouncers too. He said one was too big to fight but the other was getting it. Lol

THIS IS WHATABOUTERY.

Yes, it’s all true. IT DOESN’T MATTER. The narrative is established and pointing the finger just makes it worse. The club has to do something to alter the narrative. This is not going to do it.

That list just proves how picked on he has been. None of it was his fault and every one can be put down to our establishment picking on him because he is a northern Irish catholic who used to play and manage Celtic. How can any sane person disagree. If you do disagree you are a bigot. Rinse and repeat?????

Regarding the feigned head-butt v Inverness; yes, Juanjo's red card was later rescinded - but no action was ever taken against Lennon.

Like other prominent but dirty/cheaty Old Firm players (Ferguson, Brown for starters) he never really collected the cards he merited.

3) 10th December 2003 – Lyon 3 – 2 Celtic

"UEFA has rejected an appeal by Neil Lennon against a two-match suspension imposed in December for his conduct towards Swiss referee Urs Meier at the end of the UEFA Champions League match against Olympique Lyonnais. Lennon was charged with improper conduct towards the referee, both verbally and with gestures, after the final whistle of the match, which Lyon won 3-2. UEFA said that Lennon's caution in the 20th minute of the match had been an aggravating circumstance, which had led to the rejection of the appeal. The hearing in December had been told that referee Meier did not take action and show a red card to Lennon for the incident after the final whistle, but mentioned it in his report."

"The Scottish Football Association's video-review panel is to examine a series of incidents from this Old Firm game, one which descended into even more mayhem and madness than usual... there was Lennon's running feud with just about everyone, including the Rangers manager Alex McLeish and home fans, when he appeared to spit on a scarf thrown on to the track."

Lennon also appeared to shout "******* s**te you Orange b*****ds!", and was one of many players involved in a mass-confrontation following an incident between Alan Thompson (who was red-carded) and Peter Lovenkrands.

6) 21st August 2005 - Rangers 3 – 1 Celtic

"Celtic captain Neil Lennon has been given a three-match suspension for his aggressive behaviour towards the match officials after the defeat by Rangers. Lennon had already been given an automatic, one-match ban for the red card shown at the end of the match. But a Scottish FA disciplinary committee decided, after a three-hour meeting, to add to that "for misconduct of a significantly serious nature". Lennon, who abused referee Stuart Dougal and barged his assistant James Bee, had appeared personally in front of the committee along with manager Gordon Strachan and Dougal."

7) 10th December 2006 - Dunfermline 1 – 2 Celtic

"Celtic's captain Neil Lennon was an angry man at the end of this match and ended up grappling with a number of his own players. Seconds after Dunfermline's Stephen Simmons had scored a scrappy, last-ditch consolation goal for the SPL's bottom side, Lennon became involved in a shouting and pushing match with Artur Boruc. The Poland goalkeeper beat a hasty retreat down the East End Park tunnel, and Lennon instead turned on Aiden McGeady, launching another verbal volley which also ended in a grappling match."

8.) 11th March 2007 - Celtic 0 – 1 Rangers

"Lennon loses the plot as Rangers end their long wait. Neil Lennon became engaged in a heated verbal joust with a home supporter as he left the field. Celtic's captain displayed his anger by firing a plastic drinks bottle into the empty Rangers dug-out and appeared, at one point, to be trying to challenge the fan physically. Lennon was ushered down the tunnel by stewards and the fourth official, Kenny Clark. While it never appeared likely that the midfielder was going to - or even attempt to - hit the supporter with the bottle, his conduct, not for the first time in one of these fixtures, was unimpressive."

Remember when we got exponentially larger fines every year for our yellow card count? Lennon just gets 2 or 3 games in the stand a couple of times a season with no other punishment other than the occasional suspended sentence, which he then usually breaches.

It's not sectarian, Neil, it's because you're an utter ***** and the whole of Scottish football (minus 2 teams) agrees.

Not surprised tbh. This is a ‘man’ who threatened his pregnant mistress with a knife and has refused to have anything to do with the child, his own child now 12 years old.  He’s the ultimate cretin.

Absolutely. I can't believe this of all things is swept under the carpet. Forget what he does in a football stadium, the man or 'man' is a vile individual
