No good for that, £200 maximum per month then 3%, better with a Starling card.

Cheers! Clearly need to do more Intel on this.

Now back to the point of the thread - how many tickets we shifted now??:D

King Of The Cat Cafe

Looking at the two semi finals last year,  there were attendances of about  84,000-odd in total.

What could we be seeing this time...95,000 + ?

I think it may depend on how many tickets Aberdeen had and are now being sold to Rangers

Aberdeen have sold just over 10k. Sevco had about 26k then got more. I’d say maybe 45k in total.

plus 60k or so at Murrayfield.

Around 105k in total?

Was just in the ticket office collecting my tickets, and there was a foreign guy in front of me. He asked in broken English if he could get a ticket for Sunday. Now, the girl behind the counter said he needed to have bought one before, which I understand, but it was rather dismissive and I think the guy was a bit confused. I doubt this guy is a Celtic fan trying to get in our end, and rules are rules, but it was disappointing to see a guy who wants to go to the game unable to go, and dismissed so abruptly.

Broken English? Was it Pat Bonnar?

But then, where did this term ‘snowflake’ come from? Who invented that?  What is a ‘snowflake’?

Very off topic - sounds bloody good this. One wee question, I take it you can make free cash withdrawals abroad with this? If so, I'm in!

You can withdraw up to £200 worth of foreign currency for free per month, after that there's a % charge I think. It's basically a pre-loaded debit card though. You transfer £ into it and then use it however you want. They give you an average exchange rate over five days, with your purchase day being day 3. It also lets you split bills with other Monzo users, so if I get groceries or whatever on my Monzo I can tap to split it with my Mrs, she gets a notification and taps to let her Monzo send me half or whatever split I ask for. It's honestly genius. Wish it had been around when I was travelling Australia!

The word phobic was introduced in the 19th century, nothing to do with being invented by snowflakes. What are you on about?

Bit of a shame

i also find some of the ticket office staff a bit dismissive at the best of times and often take us fans for granted - they do a good job but could be a bit more friendly sometimes

I think he's trying to say that the use of "phobia" is nonsense as he does not have an extreme and irrational fear of weegies.

Seems simple enough to me, as the founder member and president of the Society for the Protection of all Arachnids!

I could sign up to that.  I never kill a spider if I find one in the house, always pick it up and put it down outside.  I would freak my daughters out by showing them the spider crawling over my hand as I escorted it to safety.

It’s only very recently been used within the context you are using it. It was given its current context by the American alt-right, largely as an insult for those who disagree with their racist, politically incorrect comments.

Got to be honest and say I find the complete opposite. I'm in there on a regular basis, picking up donated tickets, looking for paper tickets on ST cards etc. and I've found them to be very helpful and patient even when transaction is a bit complicated.

I read that Rangers got 3,500 of the Aberdeen allocation.

Still, it is going to be a hefty increase on last year.

Certain people may not have been happy with the switch of one game to Murrayfeld, but the extra sales means extra cash all around.

And all thanks to Ann Budge.... ;)

i find  the staff exactly the same - i have never had an issue. The staff have always been helpful. Remember we are all human and it has been a busy few weeks for them and maybe, just maybe it was one of those days. We have all had them.

Does it mean extra cash though?  Does anyone know what the extra cost of using Murrayfield is?  I guess we would have struggled to get over 40,000 at Hampden though so must be more profit with close on 60,000 paying customers at Murrayfield.

Not sure how how much weight AB’s or Aberdeen’s arguments carried, I suspect not that much and more to do with the public backlash, fears for fans safety and opposition from police, MSPs, councillors, Scotrail, etc, not to mention the prospect of Hampden getting trashed between games.

It feels like two fingers getting stuck up to the SPFL though and it’s all very enjoyable, hopefully get the right result to go with it?

If our game had been at Hampden, I reckon the crowd would have been around 35,000 tops. If 35,000 tickets sold at an average of, say, £25, the revenue generated would have been £875,000.

If our attendance at Murrayfield is 60,000 at £25 a ticket, the revenue would come in at £1,500,000. Even if the SRU take a whopping £250,000 for loaning Murrayfield, there's close to £400,000 additional money still in the pot.

Sorry if it’s been posted before.

It’s now bizarre to consider if both the original games went ahead the combined capacity would’ve been around 50,000/60,000,Now that’s going to be well over 100,000.

You can guarantee that the governing bodies won’t admit they got it wrong initially & they’ll have some type of PR spin saying it was down to them and the sponsors for getting this back on track.

This will now be a super Sunday as they initially wanted,Let’s hope it’s a super super Sunday for us and anyone of a Jambo persuasion.

It's not, Hampden get a cut if it's played there. I think it's in the rules that it is 15%.

Edit: 15% is right, wonder if that's what the SRU will get.

There would be costs for hiring Hampden as well though.

Probably not as much as Murrayfield but the extra punters more than pays the difference .

Even Celtic are bringing more fans than they would for what they would see as a routine "home" game at Hampden.

It has also been a boost for the wee cup only it's not the wee cup this year.

Unless empty terraces were redevelopment or something.
