The Eurovision Song Contest 1972 was the 17th edition of the annual Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom, and was held at the Usher Hall on Saturday 25 March 1972. The show was hosted by Moira Shearer.

The Moss' Theatre of Varieties was on Chambers Street, replaced by a university building (beside where Richer Sounds is now).

No idea either, I’m not convinced that bottom picture is Edinburgh, there is absolutely nothing in it that looks familiar.

These somehow ended up with pictures of Edinburgh in 1949. Understandable if it was someone from another country.

 

I posted them because I had no idea where they were and was wondering if they were areas that had been redeveloped. The lamppost in the bottom picture are similar to those Edinburgh had / have.
