Not sure why the 22 is Part Route to Sighthill. That's where it's terminus was then

Looks like the corner of Polwarth Terrace with the wall of the church on the left?

Found this really old 1 online. It's the demolition of the original buildings making way for Cockburn Street to be built. Think it started in the 1850s?

Is that the West Approach Road?  It looked much more like a expressway back then.  It’s more and more like a surface street now.

That was early 70's - don't remember a bus using it then

This is what the other side of it looked like

Lorry that crashed into the artisan pub at the Abbey hill Colonies late 60's  I think. The brakes failed at the top of Montrose Terrace (where the driver jumped out) leaving the lorry to career downhill, totalling a few cars on the way, before ploughing into the pub in the early hours of the morning.

An acquaintance of mine's dad's insurance company initially refused to pay his claim, on the basis that his car did not have its parking lights on at the time. Insurance company paid up on being told that the lorry did not have the driver on board at the time.

It was my late dad's regular haunt, he was gutted.

LuckyBatistuta looking for work at tollcross ?

He won't get much business wearing that horrendous red and white top.  He'd be as well jumping into the taxi, or hopping onto the 17.
