Btw maybe you've uncovered the whole problem with the pitch. Maybe the 40,000 km is correct and the machine should be set to inject the fibres 2 metres deep not 20cm 😂

I know this is the a thread about the pitch but a few days ago there was pictures of the Mosaic and some people talking about contacting the club to try and help restore it, has there been any updates on that? Again sorry for posting on this thread

Got a steel delivery and seven beams to fit tomorrow morning. Will then go into Tynecastle tomorrow to see the damage. Will plan a course of action once I’ve seen this and know what it is that has marked it

Any news?

Bazzas right boot

Have any players or teams complained?

It looks pretty shitty in the corner were we warm up (still say that should be rotated, takes a battering every game) but the ball seems to go across it fine imo.

What's the actual problem?

Apparently Lennon had a go, Tommy Wright mentioned that it wasn't great.

No fecker on here knows for sure what the problem is, except the groundsman but he is rightly not saying.

What did they say?

It seems to play absolutely fine.

Looks a bit shit tho, and that corner is poor.

Wright and Lennon can gtf anaw.

Never heard Lennon's comment, just read about it on here, Wright just said that the surface wasn't great.

But aye, they can both gtf.

Wright, the football purist.

His teams could play on a ref Ash pitch, would make no difference.

The groundsman said it would be his job if he said - so what is the Club hiding? 🤔

They are "hiding" the truth, probably because some of our support couldn't handle it.

Not saying that I agree with them and it will come out eventually.

Only as much as Alleppo looked better when the fires stopped and smoke cleared.

Pitch is a state. Has to be some sort of grass disease. Hybrid pitches shouldn't look like this!

Mrs Budge said it would be good by the end of January......

Its not bloody diseased ffs.

You can see some growth. It should be better than it is.

Thought it quite bobbly!

Looked really poor I thought. The section in front of the wheatfield was had a lot of bare bits, and the section at the corner of the main stand and the Gorgie stand didn’t look good. It seemed to play really heavy, I know most pitches are like this at this time of year, but it seems a lot worse than you would expect

I'm by no means an expert, but when you look at the state of the pitch vs others in the league just now (grass and hybrid), something is obviously not right.

Some sort of turf disease seems the obvious thing. Again, not an expert, but why else would it look so poor compared to everything else in the league?

Anyone remember that tam white concert that was held in August that screwed the pitch up and it’s never recovered. Grounds man thinks it will be fine by end of Feb / start or March.

I was in the lower tier for the first time this season and thought the pitch looked and played much better than the December games, looks to be improving. Forecast for the next week is dry and mild so hopefully this helps it improve further.

First pass of the day for Irvine the ball bobbled up in the air just as he hit it and the ball goes out for a throw in. Pitch is a disgrace.

Not a disgrace but playing very hard so bobbles are exaggerated.

I thought that it looked better than it did from our previous home game. Defo more grass but I don't know what it's like underfoot. Few folk on here have commented that it's quite a hard surface.

Yup more grass on it for sure but looks very firm. I assume more grass would soften it a little.

Warm up areas could do with being moved but there may be a reason they dont do this.

When we spunk out £1m for a quality hybrid pitch and get it turned into a tattie field.

I'll not bother moaning, though.

Didn't see any great improvement  to be honest,
