Not a great deal of detail in relation to capacity of the bar so it will be down to JKB members to offer up their experience.

Hopefully it will all go smoothly and be a great revenue stream for HMFC.

My seat is in the Wheatfield so doubt very much I will get round in time to get in for a swatch

Sooperstar

Opens after the match on Sunday and stays open until 7pm. Will be showing Chelsea v Liverpool.

Seems ambitious opening it until then. Would imagine most will go in for 1 or 2 drinks then head off.

Sure it will be popular before the match on Wednesday though.

Take it this is all in-house so all the money goes back to the club? Get a good result on Sunday and this will be packed. Good idea IMO.

Very vague on the website. Yes it will be permanent. The bar under the Wheatfield won't happen and the space will probably be let out for offices etc.

My hope was that would be the main bar - perfect set up for it.

ITK or guessing? I think once the shop vacates and moves to the new stand, there'll be quite a bit space under the Wheatfield for a supporter's bar with the existing club offices remaining. Would be surprised if the club let out offices though, the new build office block at the bottom of Robertson Avenue has lain empty for years (since it was built), only recently something moved in.

Need folk to be pished in every stand.

It will be open before and after 3pm games and before 7.45pm games I would imagine.

Good money maker for the club now they have eventually worked out how a liquor license works??

Fairly ITK on this one but that info was a few weeks ago from a poster who may go under the name of a character from Silence of the Lambs ?

I don't drink beer or lager, nothing but vodka and it is difficult to go wrong with that irrespective of where you drink. The main deciding factor becomes cost. Why pay £6 in town, for example, when you can buy it locally for just over a £1 and it creates the same end result but at a lower overall cost. Anyway, to the point, I'm guessing that this new bar will sink or swim based on the brands of beer/lager on offer. More so as if most of the people who tend to hang about after games drinking in Gorgie do try this bar and aren't taken by the liquid on offer they can then head for their regular haunts.

If they're serving Carlesberg I'll go berserk.  Sounds like a great idea.  Would love to be there.

My Dragons' Den style idea for the bar is a button at the bar that can be used when ordering Strongbow. The sole reason for this is so it could trigger an automated recording made by Scott Wilson loudly stating 'the UK's number 1 cider.'

I've clearly already had plenty to drink tonight based on that suggestion.

Famous 1874

Need to get a supporters bar under the wheatfield stand sorted once the club shop is relocated back to the main stand. A lot of room available under the wheatfield stand, another supporters bar would be extremely popular.

At the sponsors function on Tuesday £7.30 for a bottle of Moretti and a gin and slimline.

Assuming this will be ball park pricing structure too.

Great idea and we'll worth the money to get it up and running.

Virgin trains have that nonsense in the wc, can't see why we can't have that. ?

You can by vodka for a quid in a boozer?

You can also get a whole bottle of Glens for about a tenner and sit in a park.

I get your point though.

The draw for the pub once up and running will be pre-match.

If games are a busy people may be tempted to stay for a drink for the buses to die down.

As somebody said atmosphere will be important.
