Scotland
0 last night. Zero. That stat right there perfectly sums up our attitude and our approach to derby games recently. If you don’t shoot, you don’t score. Christ, Hibs could have put a statue in goals last night and we wouldn’t have scored. In fact, since that Ozturk goal in the Championship, want to guess how many shots Hearts have had on target at Easter Road? 9. Over 5 visits there we’ve managed 9 shots on target. Simply not good enough. Is it a striker thing? A lack of service? A combination perhaps. Ultimately, I’ve seen much, much worse Hearts teams than this one go to Easter Road and have a go of it. That’s what we need to get back to. We need our big name players to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and take it to them. Zero shots on target is a slap in the face to the paying supporters.
