All 3 Hearts players start the opening game v Greece

Surprised the 3 Hearts boys all subbed. Would have expected Harry and Anthony to have been excelling in this group.

Also amazed Marc Leonard who had hardly played this season is in the squad

Harry & Anthony both subbed on 51minutes

Currently getting beat 1-0

O-0 when they got subbed

Despite today's defeat 2 wins will see Scotland qualify

Chris Hamilton, a defender got subbed for a more attacking player.

Maybe fitness in Harry's case. Not sure about the players who came on.

Great to see Scotland firing on all cylinders against the weakest side in the group.

Sorry for being such a misery.

English thug off for a two footer. Scotland under cosh a bit, but should have gone 2-0 up there.

Victim of the two footer (our 15) just put in one of his own there which could have been at least a yellow and it wasn't even a foul! Scott Brown in the making...

FootballFirst, take it none of the Scotland U18 boys are associated with Hearts?

Man of the match was given to Reece Rintoul.

Scotland first goalscorer McKay is in the Inverness squad tomorrow for their Challenge cup final.

Under 21's grabbing a late equaliser against Andorra away 1-1

1-1 with Andorra should really be a wake up call for any national football association but not Scotland.

Keep doing what your doing Scott and your looking good for the big job soon

can we sink any further?

It’s borderline incest and begins with performance school coaches picking the younger national squads (judge, jury, hangmen), if they do not pick the players they have coached for 4 years then they are failing in their job and therefore will not shoot themselves.

U17, 19, 21 coaches should never be in the positions they are, pure and simple cronyism. From the top to the bottom within SFA it requires a radical overhaul if our international fortunes are to improve.

Reece has been at hibs, Rangers, hearts, Motherwell. Ability is not his issue.

I remember him being at Hearts.  He was a good player, but he had a short fuse and was never far away from exploding on the park.

Scotland's team was: Anderson, McKeown, Clark, Brown, McDowall, Walsh, Walker, Rintoul, Scott, Hodge, Mackay. Subs: Currie, Kemp, Fell, Harwood, Watt, Chalmers, Fagan.

U19s 2-0 up on the Netherlands.

finished 2-0. If Scotland beat Norway and Germany and Netherlands draw then Scotland qualify. Or Scotland win and Germany win then scotland need German to win by a goal and Scotland win by 3.

Seems a mad group, Netherlands beat Norway 6-1, Norway then beat Germany 5-2.

Same surname as an infamous Hibs hooligan known as Tooly. Anger issue? maybe they're related??

So none of these players have been deemed good enough for a full time contract or have they decide to stay in education in the hope they make a career out of football once they have finished school?

McKay came off the bench to set up the winner. A good 24 hours for the 16 year old.

A bizarre game for Scotland U19s against Norway today.

Scotland 0-2 down at half time, turned it round to 4-2 inside the first 20 minutes of the second half, then contrived to lose the game 4-5 by losing three goals in the last 8 minutes.

And Norway qualified as group winners over Germany with injury time winner.

Norway 1 Holland 6

Germany 3 Scotland 0

Germany 2 Norway 5

Holland 0 Scotland 2

Scotland 4 Norway 5

Holland 1 Germany 4

Norway qualified on head to head result by beating Germany. Scotland winning wouldn't have helped as lost to Germany.
