I just hope CL puts a team out there to have a go and win the game rather than the usual cautious set up away from home.

We have nothing to lose and better to give the fans something to shout about rather than the usual away from home stuff.

Hopefully when the players see the away stand packed full of jambos then hopefully they take responsibility on them selfes and get stuck in we don't need or want a replay imo

The players should be doing what the Manager asks them to do so it is not really their responsibilty regarding the tactics although if they are not up for it when they see 4700 Hearts Fans behind them then they should not be on the pitch.

We will play for a replay and lose 1-0.

Please just have a go Hearts and take the game to them. We will know after 5 mins how we are going to play.

I would drop Laff and put Naismith up top. I think we played better when he was suspended.

Lafferty is ok if he has some support. We don't want him isolated like he normally is away from home.

Bazzas right boot

One of the fans a draw would actually be ok.

This games 50/50 in my mind.

With that in mind a draw wouldn't surprise, but I'm going 1-0 us.

Need to be prepared for a high tempo game there.

Just hope we don't wait until the 80th minute before we make any effort.

Absolute Scenes

Folk actually wanting our top scorer dropped

:cornette:

The mind boggles.

We are most dangerous when Lafferty plays.

I can see a hearts comfortable 2-0 win. Motherwell are not that good

Can see this going all the way to penalties at Tynecastle.

Let's just hope the name Hearts is the one in the semi final line up however it happens.

If Sammon played like Laf did on Tuesday KB would be howling at the moon

We need Lafferty on the pitch putting in the work rate we have come to expect from him.

This match will probably be determined by industry and who wants it more.

I simply do not know anymore. My feel good factor is away. Could really do with a win.

Lafferty will be determined to make for his penalty miss.

Naismith partnership should be developing too.

It's obviously a closely balanced game so marginal things can make the difference.    The same application as the previous cup games + no daft mistakes/cards should be enough.     If we're off the pace we'll maybe scrape a replay.

Looking forward to this one - 3-0

Berra leaps like a salmon to head in from a corner, Naismith tap in at the back post set up by Milinkovic, then a Lafferty pen...

Doubt it

Difference is Sammon scored 1 league goal for us, Laff has 15 already

Therefore if he has an off night (which I don't think he did on Tuesday considering he hit the post, and won the penalty, worst pen I've ever seen mind you) I think he should be given some slack

That man has single handedly won a good few games for us this season and folk are quick to forget that.

At no point had Sammon scored 15 tho, and our top goal scorer.

The comparison is honking.

Probably the same folk that screamed at Sammon all the time  that are calling for Lafferty to be dropped, tho. Absolute tubes.

Ok Sammon example was poor however we did play better with Naismith up too when Laf was suspended. I do think Laf get an easy ride considering the wage/ performance ratio

Need to be up for this from the start (not something we have been great at this season).

Will we have the biggest away support in Britain this weekend?

Personally, I don’t give two ****s if his performance level dips on occasion. The team as a whole, I get more irked with.

Lafferty’s job is goals. So far, his ratio is exemplary, in terms of goals to games. That’s what he gets judged on. Any striker.

Isma would have a similar goal ratio.

Any hoo that's another debate.

0-0, win1-0 in the replay.

Famous 1874

Berra, Souttar, Adao and Lafferty all one booking away from missing the semi. Need those boys to be careful.

Heart of Darkness

Got to fly out the traps tomorrow and try and get an early goal then not sit back and defend our 1 goal but finish them off by getting a couple more.

Good pitch now at motherwell so lets hope our wing backs go busting forward and get crosses in.

That said I expect us to sit in and defend and look to counter. A tactic which falls on its arse if we concede.

Most would agree but a forwards job is a lot more than that. Our best forwards in the past could play a good link up game as well as score. You need to be all round.

Nothing worse for me than seeing a sloppy forward breaking down play for the umpteenth time because he's on his heels or can't hold up the ball more competently.

There's matches when the chances aren't there, the space is tight and you need your frontman to be bringing others into the game.

The Duke has been a big plus for us on the whole and he loves the bigger ocassion as we've seen. Fingers crossed he brings his A game tomorrow

You would drop our main, often only, goal threat?!?!?!

If we’re gonna be mad enough to drop Lafferty I reckon we have to go all out and name Robbo and Rudi in the starting XI.. sod it let’s play Zidane as well.

I would put Naismith up top as he is a better player and we played better that way. I'm sure Naismith would have as many goals as Laff. I think Naismith would miss less sitters and brings more to the team up top rather than playing deeper.

Mitchell will be I think.
