Did it to us once in the Merlin too. When we were back in Edinburgh in January he was hanging about outside Waitrose a lot and seems to have put on a lot of weight. Stinks so bad. Comes into gym everyday around 10.30am for a massive shit and a shower. He spends about 40 minutes in the toilet then about an hour in the shower. Has no consideration for any other member and is a bona fide sociopath. Then puts on smelly clothes after his shower, leaves to go to the library where he sits and watched TV all day. He then goes back to the gym. He has very few friends in the gym, just yestedray I stood in the changing room with 4 other members all talking about him - not one of them had a positive thing to say about him. Older looking guy who usually wears a brown fur coat, a hat and cord type trousers - none of which really match with each other. I can go weeks without seeing him but it's usually when I'm going into work later in the morning. He quite clearly has mental issues as he will sit on the bus and make weird noises or talk/shout to imaginary people and a few weeks ago he even started looking in the general direction of other passengers and sort of mumbling/shouting what sounded like "**** off" at them. You can sense the people around him getting a bit uncomfortable when he starts things off. I hate to admit it but I've always dreaded the moment he sits next to me (I know that sounds horrible) but he is yet to do so. I'm sure I've seen him begging in Dalry after Hearts games so I am assuming is genuinely homeless but always wondered what his story is. Got an English accent and possibly hearing issues? Outside the Co-Op on Dalry Road fairly regularly though had disappeared for a whilr until I saw him again a couple of days ago. Not sure his story. Maybe he's been mentioned already but what's the deal with the guy in all the Scotland gear and backpack? Saw him shouting at pigeons two weeks ago. LesJambes
Anyone seen the Asian lady, possibly Japanese, that talks to herself, and does some sort of ritual-looking thing, walking a bit then spinning round? She's usually dressed sort of like a Geisha, looks pretty creepy. I've seen her in the middle of Princess Street doing that. If people talk to her she shouts at them. I've seen a few tourists shit themselves, they must assume she's doing something for the festival.

edimburgo
Hello everyone, I've come over from reddit after someone there posted about this guy. I did a google search and discovered this thread, so thought I'd post my experiences of him, he's known as 'Action Man' or 'Edinburgh Rambo'. I also found this picture of him online to help identify him so everyone can keep a wide berth. Anyway. first time was when my friend and I were walking down the mound and coming up to the junction were the mound meets Market Street. All we could hear was this big English voice shouting at the top of his lungs. Discovered Edinburgh Rambo had been walking in the road and a cyclist had asked him to move out the way. Really thought the cyclist was going to get killed by this guy, he was so incredibly aggressive. Plus, he is an absolute unit. Anyway, he eventually walks off still shouting at the top of his lungs telling everyone to get out his way. The other time was on the meadows and he had set up camp on the cricket pitch, sunbathing. A group of guys and a few girls came over with cricket equipment and set up the stumps etc to start playing. One of the girls goes around asking anyone who's on the cricket pitch if they could politely move as they were going to play a match. Of course everyone moves apart from Edinburgh Rambo who proceeds to go absolutely berzerk at this girl who couldn't have been much older than 22. Luckily a few guys ran over to defend her but Edinburgh Rambo was having none of it and started dancing on the spot saying he is the righteous one and will not move. This went on for about 5 minutes and eventually the cricketers gave up. I know this is quite a thread bump but thought it's worth letting people know how much of a nutter this guy is and if you see him try to give as wide a berth as you can. Who knows what terrible acts he is capable of.
