Customs Union is still on though.

Future relationship including political declaration still needs voted through.

But the blank cheque on the PD for any new Tory leader is NOT a good thing to allow to happen. And that's what this vote is all about. Hence the contenders backing it: Raab and Bojo.

This whole thing is a shan con job.

The PM will be gone sooner if this is defeated and a caretaker PM will need to extend beyond May 22. I think with a referendum or general election to follow.

This has to be the most sensible route through it. But will the EU allow it to sit on hold

Let’s hope Labour do the same and elect someone like Keir Starmer or Hilary Benn as the next Labour leader before a GE is called because under Corbyn, the Tories will probably manage to win a majority.

Personally feel Starmer would make a great prime minister

100.00% agreed.  It would give them some credibility and broaden their appeal. Otherwise the shittiest ever iteration of the Tory party will win a majority against the most thoroughly lamentably shite opposition in history.

Unfortunately Labour are much weaker than the Tories when it comes to unseating a poor leader.  Corbyn will be allowed to fight and lose an election first.

Labour’s Geraint Davies asks May to accept that her Brexit will make the UK poorer, more divided and more isolated. She knows that in her heart of hearts, she says.

May says the government’s own assessment show this Brexit delivers the best outcome consistent with the referendum result.

:rofl:Can't ever, EVER answer a straight question with a straight answer.

Fully agree. Cooper, Benn or Starmer for me. David Lammy an outsider for me.

Corbyn could do well against Bojo or Mogg though

CHUK

:orly?:

Wants to lead a political party.

Forms a political party to lead.

Isn't chosen as leader of his own party.

Life sucks when you're Chuka Umunna.

Moggy and BoJo spotted walking into the Aye lobby.

Pair of turds.

Vile individuals the pair. To think there is a chance either could be the uks premier politician is beyond words. The greatest guarantee of independence in my opinion. In fact the Welsh and Northern Irish will probably want to leave UK too. And the North and Midlands. In fact Bojo would only be pm for Kent

No.

Disappointed with the SNP last night though. Playing party politics just like all the others.

Now is the time for compromise.

Of course it is.

The time for compromise was three years ago when we should have called a cross party national convention on brexit to figure out what we wanted before even triggering Article 50.

Instead the Tories decided to do it all themselves and look where we are now.

This is not about May's Deal this is about supposedly democratic politicians defying the result of a referendum and stopping Brexit.

True but not all of them. Those who voted it down are also opponents of Brexit

Correct.

But if DUP had supported deal they would have taken more Tories with them.

Yes I appreciate there are those who support Brexit voted against the deal. However there are those in the opposition who voted against it.
