NANOJAMBO
For Father's Day I got a "Pub in a Box" selection from this place. I've been to some of their pubs so I know some of their beers already but they do some very good & varied stuff. Although I'm not a fan of the plum porter , which I think is honking. https://www.titanicbrewery.co.uk/shop/

Agree the Plum Porter was not that good, neither was their stout, which I didn't like at all.
Jambo-Jimbo
Wychwood Brewery - Diceman Stout (5%), pretty bog standard tbh, first time I've had this, won't rush to have it again.
Jambo-Jimbo
Dragon Stout (7.5%), brewed by Desnoes & Geddes, Kingston, Jamaica. (Small 284ml Bottle) Really roasted taste, but not enough to make it unpleasant, if you like roasted malts, then you may like this. I've had this several times over the years now, last time was back in 2014, so it was due a re-try.
heartsfc_fan
A good one for me tonight. Stewart's Brewing in Loanhead are worth a visit. Been there a few times and done a Brewery tour (recommend once lockdown restrictions are over). Radical Road, triple hopped IPA. 6.4%. Beautiful stuff. And my folks got me a freshly poured Growler (2 litre) today after I paid them a visit in exchange for seeing their grandkids ( 🙂 or maybe it was just a free lunch): The beer in question (new branding now - you can get this in Sainsbury's, Lidl I think, and that Brewery online. No sign yet in Tesco or Asda):

Not been to Stewarts this year with one thing or another, often drop in whenever we're in Edinburgh, got two 1 litre growlers which I get filled now and again. Hopefully will be able to pay them a visit in the near future.

It's lovely, stays sweeter longer and less bitter than some, richer and "blacker" too, more like Guiness to look at but with a more coloured head., A good 8/10. *edit* 8.5/10, nearly as good as Marthas Chocolate Milk Stout. I don't think I've ever actually drunk a pint of the stuff: now and again I'll ask for a taste of it if it's the only cask-ale on tap wherever I am and keep on reaffirming I don't like it! I'd maybe develop a taste for it if I had nothing else in the house and was gasping on a beer, but that's probably unlikely to occur... Jambo-Jimbo
Isaac Poad - Piccadilly Porter (4.8%), Cattal, York. A wonderful porter, fabulous long lasting head, chocolate nose, and lovely chocolate & coffee flavours. I discovered this late last year and have bought it a few times since, I really like this beer. Auld Reekin'
Drinking this just now: Very nice too. A beer from Orkney's other main brewery that I hadn't tried before visiting there last year was this: A really tasty and interesting, bottle-conditioned, beer with a distinctive - unique, even - taste. Made from Bere, an ancient variety of barley which is one of the few cereal crops that grows well on Orkney. I did get the wife and boy a Cider aswell.
