Thought Jamie Walker was looking quite pies in the photo of him in today's evening news (particularly the print edition as it shows the image in full).

Too many sweets, me thinks.

He's just come back from injury to be fair

I've went from anger to apathy here.

He's delusional if he thinks he's still going to rangers on ability (i.e if they sign him it will be some misguided attempt to remind everyone they can still take players from the other 10). To be quite honest, he doesn't deserve a move to a bigger club. Too inconsistent and quite clearly his head is turned too easily.

Regarding the part in bold: I do stick up for the other players when it is merited. I always stick up for Isma, as one example, as I think he is excellent (just frustrating at times).

I dont think Jamie has been nearly as poor as people on here make out, hence he remains popular with the support.

I think he is living off performances from quite a bit of time ago BB and also because our midfield is dire then people are looking for that JW we all know he can be.

I have been waiting on JW to get back to how he was but its not happening.

Walker has functioned for us in a midfield where other players around him have picked up his slack. He worked in the midfield RN played where we had defensive cover and a team that had shape. He’s not a player whose going to cover every blade of grass for you and put his foot into a tackle, he’s not box to box like Cameron and he doesn’t pick a killer pass with every ball.

Hes is a midfielder that scores goals but lacks work rate.

His lack of goals in 2017 has been highlighted. Yes he’s had his head filled with nonsense about a move along the M8 that possibly won’t materialise now. It’s also needs to be considered that he’s been playing in a basket case of a team for the best part of 11 months. He never has nor ever will be the player to lead a midfield due to the type of player he is. His performances in big games with the exception of Rangers in February have showed this.

Do do I think we were foolish not to accept the money on offer for him in the summer especially since there is a pretty good chance we will lose him for nothing at end of season - absolutely.

Would I want him to sign a new contract. At the moment no. The wage paid to him could be paid to someone else who would more fit in with the needs of the middle of the park.

2016 - 15 goals.

2017 - 6 goals. 4 of which were scored in 1st 32 days of the year.

How many of the 15 were pens?

Bazzas right boot

He need to sign or we offload him to any suiters in January.

Winding down his contract isn't an option, no one will benifit.

How many pens did he miss would be a better question

I really hope we withdraw our offer, as it is becoming clearer all the time he is unlikely to get any better, and more likely will get worse.

Even if he wanted to stay, I wouldn't keep him

Even if he offered to take a pay cut

Whatever he had , its gone, and it aint coming back

He is now so poor over a prolonged period of time that no one will be paying money for him

I'd rather have Darien Mackinnon in our squad than Walker

And I feckin hate him

Darien Mackinnon! I better never see him or that wee ***** Imrie play for Hearts.

Good to see fans supporting a player when he's shown some form

Looked sharp today.

I'd be playing him where Rudi used to play, free role up front with no defensive responsibility.  Get him on the ball on the edge of the D.

Quality player as shown today.

Such a focal point for us going forward and making it happen in the last third.

But credit goes out to Djoum too. A lot of energy and purpose today from him and the way he combined with Walker in creating the space to get forward shows how wasted he is when sitting in a more defensive role.

These two can be too hot to handle on this sort of form but if only it could happen far more often.

Our best attacker by a mile. But yeah let’s give him to Rangers

for peanuts because he went off the boil for a few months.

Very good today. Also saw him giving Jame Brandon a gee up and encouragement a couple of times. Worked hard too.

Credit where it’s due, thought today was Jamie’s best performance in months.

Putting himself in the shop window one could argue?  Nice of him to make a bit of an effort after being invisible for months on end!

I totally agree. He’s been a empty jersey most of 2017, just saying he was better today.

Anyone else notice him skulking straight off the pitch and down the tunnel without shaking hands with anyone on Sunday?

Last man off the pitch on Saturday.

Makes  you wonder and me very angry that Djoum is played in a defensive role.

He is at his best when played as and attacking force .

CL and Nanny McPhee really need to wake the feck up here.

That was Djoum’s African Nations role, so you (and me as I think he has goals in him) might be wrong

Djoum is so much more effective in an attacking role.

If he passes up Rangers to go to England, an awful lot of this thread will look very bad in hindsight.

Hope he does.

Division 1 in England is what I have been told.

Between 2 clubs just now.

In January or the summer?

As an aside there were 2 guys with English accents in the back row of the director's box on Sat. Probably me adding 2 & 2 and getting 5 but could have been watching Jamie Walker

They will simply claim Rangers lost interest.

I hope he stays but, if he does leave, I also hope he goes to England  (or the continent).
