US singer

Ariana Grande-Butera (born June 26, 1993), known as Ariana Grande is an American pop singer and actress. She began her career in the Broadway musical 13: before landing the role of Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon television series Victorious in 2009. The show ended after four seasons, and Grande starred on the spinoff, Sam & Cat which ended in 2014. She has also appeared in other theatre, television and film roles, and has lent her voice to animated television and films.

Ive got t shirts older than her

Listening to lbc radio, people phoning in from there, seems an external explosion so hopefully if anyone is in the concert they should be ok

Might explain why the train lines are blocked if it has been an outside explosion

I've been there a few times and the concourse round the bowl is very narrow and I always thought unsafe. The train station is right next door to it.

Supposedly an explosion at the box office at the top of the entrance stairs.

Armageddon

Hmmm wonder if it's related to the balloons and the canisters used to fill them. Hope so other than terror, but then that means somebody is at fault and it's a terrible accident :(

So sad, especially with the audience being so young.

Hearing its a suicide bomber who got off at the station and detonated. Could be merely rumours but it looks like it could be announced shortly

This is the correct explanation from what I'm hearing.

Would that not insist it was at the adjacent station and not in the arena itself (I've never been there)?

The entrance to the arena is inside the station, upstairs from the platforms.

Think theyre connected, however don't quote me.

The fact they are mentioning an explosion in the foyet rules out an electrical explosion from a speaker. Sadly this has a terror attack written all over it, ripped clothes and cuts and wounds all over peoples bodies makes me think shrapnel was involved.

Fair enough (and to Omiya).

Good second point, I've seen pictures of blood splattered, but then again I've seen pictures of balloons at the show to support the alternative theory.

Saw someone suggesting a nail bomb on Twitter.

That theory looks unlikely according to the news.

Reports saying 23 dead up to 100 injured now! Possible nail bomb! This is tragic!

Unconfirmed - 23 dead

Rail route blocked. There's a dash cam video of the explosion from a distance, the guys reaction is 'NO' so he must feel it's something bad.

Terrorists targetting kids... How do they get kicks out of it? Absolutely disgusting

I'll wait before pointing the finger at terrorism but if it is terrorism then surely there's no defending a certain religion now?

From BBC News -

Pat Carney, the council's spokesman for the city centre, said everyone's thoughts were with the families of those killed and injured.

"It's a very easy target - a concert hall where young people are enjoying music," he said.

"The public are really co-operating by staying away from what is basically now a crime site.

"The world we live in, police and the council have emergency procedures that we practise all the time.

"Obviously everyone in the city is shocked, having seen how young some of these people are

"The police are treating it as a live site, we don't know if this is the end or there are other incidents in that area... we don't know at the moment."

No defending many religions these days however I dont think this is about religion. They make out like it is for Allah but the majority of these animals are drug abusing, porn addicted cretins. It's more of a cult these days

Yep, we are seeing this far too often though. The planet is absolutely gubbed and the bad is outweighing the good

Police have just blown up a suspected 2nd device in a street near the arena.

Always seems to happen after an initisl exolosion, wouldnt look too much into it until it is confirmed. Have to imagine a lot of bags wouldve been dropped and left in the chaos
