And Alba is lucky I do...... with soaring obesity, diabetes, hypertension and amongst the highest mortality rates from drug and alcohol in Europe.....an independent Scotland is going to need more meds to stop our corpulent, drug addled population clogging Subway and Greggs up with our corpses

Another vile manifestation from the Tory ranks.

Vitamin  tablet sales could rocket, though.:munny:

They'll never be one capable. You're welcome to try. But I'd advise against, or you'll be seeing Doc Jambo.

Dark money .... the greatest current threat to democracy. Money spent below the public radar, that seeks to change political outcomes. It enables very rich people and corporations to influence politics without showing their hands.

Did they?

Or were they informed years ago that they would have to work to the same ages as men, yet ignored it.

When I graduated my pensionable age was 55 ( in psychiatry of all things)

it is now 67.

I also lost all my child benefit AFTER I had 3 kids- so there is decades of state benefit removed at short notice.

I'm not weeping for the imposition of equality.

Bully for you.

So your point is: Im OK so they should stop bleating and just get on with it?

Sounds almost...toryesque.

So the London Crossrail project has a budget of £14.8 Billion and has already had £600 Million extra funding and another £350 Million loan and now, they may need as much as an additional £1 BILLION to get it operational. Plus it will probably be a year late.

Not seeing anyone from the BBC asking questions...

And yet on the socialist scale - the AVERAGE employee in London transport now earns a staggering £83,000 per annum.

I'd be better off driving a Hornby set in London than being a Doctor/dentist/vet in Scotland

My brother in law is an electrical engineer in the London Underground. Bonkers money he's on!

I get house prices and travel is more expensive down there but everything else is the same price as up here (fuel, Sky TV, Tea bags, Gas, TV Licence and Bread)!

This 'Higher cost of living in London' is a loadapish IMO.

I stand corrected.

It's actually £2 BILLION in extra funding needed (& has been agreed). Scotland will cough up almost £1.7Bn  for this then!

If they want to bring London House prices into line, bring wages into line.

This is why Theresa May has pulled the plug on the vote tomorrow , simply because it would be a huge defeat for her, and she would almost certainly be expected  to step down, so she's pulled it to save her job, not in the national interest!  Coward.

Total reptiles, democracy is dead. Behaving like gangsters and the mafia.

Image may contain: text that says "MPs with marginal seats have been summoned to a meeting at 9.30am tomorrow with the Tory party's chairman, Brandon Lewis, and its chief executive, Sir Mick Davis, to be told "our political aims for 2019, the numbers and strategy behind this and how we plan to fund it". This has been interpreted as a threat to cut off financial support from MPs who will not support May's deal."
