Dear Theresa May,

When people wrote to you describing the impact of austerity upon disabled people, upon carers, upon homeless, upon Waspi women, upon victims of Universal Credit, you ignored us all. You know where you can stick your letter begging for our support with your EU plan....

Whilst I am right wing, of that there is  no doubt- I do not identify with the current Tory party, nor agree with what they are doing, nor their social policies, or direction.

The utter ruination of "conservative values " has made them unsupportable.

The fact a belief in hard work, supporting yourself, paying your way AND your dues, a living wage and incorporating many values of the Trades Unions, support for families and a decent life through your own endeavours coupled with support for those who cannot support themselves should have no political home anymore is pretty damning.

Been a while since I read anything about it but was Thatcher not involved in secret negotiations with the IRA to try and break the cycle of violence (but knowing that she needed to appear unrelentingly immovable to the public)?

When you are in power you need to consider any alternative, even talking to a group that tried to murder you.

Corbyn’s dealing with the IRA were a lot more amenable, of course.  ?

Cant see any reference to £45m to £84m per year.

It is not “his” company. He is a relationship manager and does not make decisions regarding investment choices.

Not at all.

The meme implies that Philip May personally makes investment decisions that are aligned with his wife’s political decisions whereas he has no such influence.

It also implies it is HIS company whereas he is just an employee. It’s like blaming me for the financial crash because I was at RBS at the time.

So the “point” is that the meme is inaccurate on many levels.

It was the point of typical establishment nonsense and what goes on also all the lobbying behind the scenes. Your analogy about the RBS isn't quite the direction of the main thrust. It was the interpretation which I'm sure others got if not yourself.

So why mention Philip May’s name at all, unless they are trying to insinuate that Theresa May forumalates policy to benefit her husband?

And it’s still wildly inaccurate. “His company”...?

It could have been anyone in the Brit establishment. They're a bunch of selfish, self serving nomarks who lord it over us. Do you think there are people in high places with connections to the govt. who are associated to businesses that benefit themselves?

Well that’s your personal view (and not entirely unreasonable) and I was simply pointing out the factual inaccuracies of the meme.

Like i said, there is plenty about the Tories to get stuck into without at least checking basic facts first.

A classic:

To clarify, that amount was to cover the cost of dealing with the bombing (such as the cost of the inquiry) rather than direct payments to be victims themselves.

And the £12m was May’s original estimate but I understand she has pledged to cover the full cost of £28m. Not sure if that has been followed through?

Standard civil service pension, enhanced by his admittedly decent salary.

Also removed himself from the scheme before the limit fell from £1.8m to £1m.

Shocking.

As is a £500 claim for “consultant” fees to cover crisis management after sending explicit texts to a teenage girls.

Oh hang on, that was Simon Danczuk. Labour.

Expense scandals are a true cross-party phenomenon.

To be fair, everyone in the country who has a job should be shitting it from Corbyn.

Sure, everyone will be equally well off, but at the bottom

The only ones that should be shitting it are the mega rich as you well know. No comment on that meme i notice.

Of course the situation  just now after all these years of Tory cuts and austerity  has created a fairer and just society for all .  :cornette:

Name ONE decent thing this Tory Junta has done for the least well off or poor or those in WORK. Take your time.  :whistling:

You also are not aware of those IN WORK who are visiting food banks, your arrogance  is feckig breath taking mate.

Cuts, cuts ,cuts, why,  to fund tax breaks fur the rich.

Austerity was NOT caused by the poor but by  the fecking greedy BANKS.
