Technology isn't the issue.  It's how it is used.

Digital literacy, now we're talking!

Disagree completely. Kids have distractions 24/7.  They have it too easy, way too easy.  Everything is too accessible to them.  They barely have to think anymore as all their thoughts are done in their hand.  Kids barely even play in the streets anymore.  They are less hungry for information as all the information is in their hand.

Why, to look at porn, go on Facebook, Twitter, My space, Instagram and You tube?

10 years in power, this is shocking.

They don't seem to care about our kids, they promised class sizes would be reduced to 18,  10 years ago.

History will probably declare it the lost decade. Lets hope it does not become the lost Generation.

Wonder how Sturgeon and Swinney will side-step this one?

This can be added to the list of recent failures...NHS Scotland, Police Scotland, Chinese investment (the Scottish shambles as the Chinese are calling it)....

Maybe Wee Nip should spent less time playing games on Brexit & pretending she can do anything about it and concentrate on the key issues.

Is that all you have to say about falling school standards.  Doesn't it bother you at all?

SNP slowly but surely getting found out.

Indy2 = no chance of a yes vote.

TBH, I left school with 7 o Levels and 1 Higher. I've actually got 2 trades under my belt in 44 years and earn a tidy sum per annum. Born in 1972 when school was shite then and we had to cover our jotters to stop them wearing out and rule "space" off to save paper.

It's not the 1970s and the future economy requires a very highly trained and well educated work force at all levels.

Does that include solicitors who spend half their working daily life posting and reading on here?

Tbf, its like everything. Peaks and troughs.

Point stands though. I went to school in the late 90s and early 00s. Schooling then will be obsolete soon, probably is! I had 20/30 year old text books. Clapped out pcs and a crumbling school. Things are changing to a highly technical and high skill economy. Kids will need good educations for the country to keep being conpetitive globally. Education shoukd get ring fenced and guaranteed funding increases to help keep classes small, resources modern and support staff in post.

Mind when all them Labour PFI schools fell down? :)

No Schools actually fell down as you state. Are you suggesting that the few months disruption that happened when a small minority of kids had to be relocated is responsible for the fall in standards over the last 10 years?

Technology moves on so education moves on.

It's hardly anything new you've stated?

I mean, we had black boards at school in my day and the teachers actually wrote on them. Why didn't they just email a PDF?

Go away you idiot. I know a scrappy who said the builders at Oxgangs Primary and other schools were taking the stainless steel ties for the bricks down for a wee back hander.

He is blaming his wife.

It also means that his "friend"who's car he was driving gets done for aiding and abetting an uninsured driver.

Stand by to find out which high profile member of our governments car it was.

Nope.

How some people don't know their insurance status (especially someone in his position), is beyond me.

This was the transport minister FFS.
