We have added a few individual objects to the cabinets. We have one cabinet that gets refreshed about once a year currently with fan's scrapbooks in it. Some of the special Items that have been donated we get out to show eg the 1998 Cup Final Ball. We will be adding touch screens that will allow access to some of our digital archive. Francis Albert
Was up for the St Johnstone game and with a bit of time to kill i thought i'd paya visit. But despite a notice outside saying it was open from 10 to 12 sat matchdays it was closed. Have opening times changed or was that a oneoff? Francis Albert
Clever clogs Scott! My reputation (or at least that part of it!) should be intact. I was on my phone on which the site (or phone) doesn't show the footers or whatever those things at the bottom of posts are called. But maybe my post will prompt 12august1893 to check if the wee sign pinned to the gate is up to date. Of course my reputation for being at least pre-senile may be consistent with my having misread it! To be fair Davy's last post was only a couple of hours before yours so it could well be a recent change. I'm not going to make any claims about pre-senilty for fear of my own record being brought up... Hearts Heritage
The Heart of Midlothian Museum is pleased to reveal their latest exhibit, ‘Always Remembered’. As we mark the centenary of the Armistice this year, the new exhibition case puts focus on remembrance; in particular the significance of the Haymarket War Memorial and the role this plays in WWI commemorations. A stark, arresting and thought-provoking display, its aim is to make us reflect on the sacrifice made by those during the war, and to remember them. The refreshed exhibit showcases the Museum’s first commissioned object – a cast bronze replica of the Heart of Midlothian Haymarket War Memorial that will be accessioned into the Club’s archives, kindly supported by generous donations. The new exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday, October 27th 10AM-4PM. https://www.heartsfc.co.uk/news/article/new-exhibition-always-remembered Edited October 26, 2018 by 12august1893 Added link
