They go into admin, sell Dens to clear the debt. How many times will that be now? Once fair enough but this will be the third or fourth time now. Expel them from the league

They don't own Dens Park.

That's the problem and why they want to move, as the owner is increasing the rent and basically holding a gun to the clubs head every season.

"Always struggled"?

Both Dundee clubs have won the league more recently than us. United reached a European Cup semi and a UEFA Cup final as they struggled in the same street as Dundee.

The Dundee clubs, in proportion to the cities population, get significantly bigger crowds than the Edinburgh clubs.

Dundee haves 20 year lease of Dens to the former United director ( name I forget ),the would have to square him up before moving ,they can't just rebuild or move .

They'll need to strike some deal but I imagine the property developer benefits more from being able to sell the land to property developers (cash in now) than Dundee remaining tenants for the next 10-20 years so a good deal won't be that difficult.

Good stat, FA.

If you look at League winners from 1950 to 1965, there are seven different winners.

Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Dundee, Kilmarnock, Rangers and Celtic.

Said it on the other thread - just for the love of God please don't let it be a carbon copy of St Mirren park. The Prem needs some better stadiums but replacing an old crappy stadium like Dens with something completely soulless is counter productive.

As long as they don't mistake the same mistake as Hibs and build a ground that's not big enough to accommodate their support.

No one has the money to build something of any substance anymore. In Scotland anyway.

This is not particular to football either.

Cheap shite !

We (Scottish football) must have been doing something right back then.

Hibs would have won three Leagues on the bounce at the start of the Fifties but were denied on goal average to Rangers in 1953.

Maybe we need to look backwards to go forwards.

The worse player ever for the Hearts.

Benny Useless debut was also horrendous.
