Compendium of Celtic dives and cheats - NHC

For a Club that always plays the victim and likes to bandy "the honest mistake" excuse every time a decision goes against them, how's about a thread of the 100s of "honest mistakes" that slip the collective consciousness of the Parkhead support? Here's Paul Lambert showing Tom Daley how it's done (2.30 in). Now that's a dive!

And this.

And this tries to say it was not a dive. It was the only clip I could find.

Neil Lennon getting Juanjo (playing for ICT at the time) sent off for feigning contact with an alleged head butt.

Mark McGhee backing into big Davy at Parkend in '89 then flopping down for a penalty. McGhee crippling CL then outpacing him to score. Same game.

Aided and abetted by that rat b#%@&*d referee.

Still bitter?

Me?

Bloody right.

Without a doubt it was.

I was at that game and wasn't born til 75

Wasn't born then either, can only vaguely remember my Dad's stories and his hatred of Proven.

Great evidence of something not quite right at SFA towers

Walker was booked for cupping both his ears as the ball hit the net and before he ran to the touchline.

Did Brown not have a dive against us in the cup game last year? Could be wrong but I'm sure I can mind him going down in instalments.

Was it not faking he had been head butted?

  • 2 years later...

As someone said above

walker being booked for cupping his ears, but Scott Brown doing the “broony” celebration in our fans faces and getting away with it

also mcmanus jumping into the crowd twice on 1/1/06 whilst on a booking and remaining on the pitch.

This type of thread needs done more often. We need someone with the skills to put a highlights reel together.

Said it before, but Scott Brown deserves a video of his own for his fouling.

Also we need one for the fouls on Uche, which even before his injury were extensive.

Forever Hearts

Kevin O'Donnell in 1987 at Parkhead. The worst refereeing performance I have ever seen. I think he was downgraded after Mr Mercer put a complaint in and he never refereed another Hearts game to my knowledge.
