Talent but a honking attitude - maybe he's matured a bit.

If not then I'd like us to bring in someone else with the surname Watt so on Tony's shirt it says T Watt.

You know what, I'd take him. Looked good at Celtic when he broke through, got a bit of an attitude problem seemingly.

Worth the risk.

Rumoured to be coming in on loan.

Hopefully just a rumour

Decent player but it's that attitude thing.

I thought we weren't interested in players with the wrong temperament?

Exclusive: Hearts switch for Charlton striker Tony Watt

Tuesday, 19 July 2016 By Richard Cawley in Footballtony-watt1.jpg

Charlton striker Tony Watt is set to sign on loan for Hearts.

The South London Press understands that the Addicks have granted the switch on compassionate grounds with the Scottish international wanting a return to be near his family.

Rotherham United were also interested in Watt, who had loan spells at both Cardiff and Blackburn Rovers last season.

The forward played the second half of last week?s friendly defeat to Bromley but headed back early from Charlton?s training camp in Austria.

Move suits all parties if true.

Worth the risk IMO, something different up top is exactly what we need.

Muirhead is quick as well. I think we have made some really good signings this summer

I hope not. It doesn't seem to fit the rumours from on here.

Hopefully better than that other Septic striker who never lived up to the hype, Mark Burchill.

Happy with this, hopefully he can screw the nut.  Something different up top anyway.  Worth the risk.

The boy needs a bit of stability and discipline to match his ability. I think its a good move for both parties.

Don't do twitter but just saw his old account. His tagline "Jesus had 12 followers, now look how many I have"

What a dick :D

I'm sure I read somewhere about his disdain for Hearts.

Could be thinking of Darren O'Dea though.

That's quite funny. :shark:

Not sure about attitude but its just a 1 year loan so little risk.

Unless it prevents us from signing a better/more reliable player....

A couple of post match trips to the newly opened Robbo's should sort him out

That was Darren O'Dea celebrated when we went bust.

The article below on Tony Watt sums him up, needing whipped into shape, but has tremendous ability.

Mark McGhee on Tony Watt: "He is not fit enough, he doesn?t train hard enough .. I?d love to smack him about"

Craig Beattie certainly did us a turn in his short time here!

He has tattooed knees. That can't be a good sign.

Ryan Stevenson was tattooed allover.

He's fast. Immediate 'sign on the dotted line' attribute for us just now.

Can't wait to shout abuse at him when he goes a game and half without scoring

Has proper pace. if he puts his mind to it and we play to his strengths he'll be great for us. If he doesn't and we don't he'll be another Dauda

The Treasurer

Does anyone know if this is just a loan or a loan "with a view to a permanent move"

I am with the others in that he has fantastic ability but needs his head screwed straight. I can't imagine robbie going into this signing without knowing that so I would like to think he has a plan to get that mentality right.

Also didn't he almost sign for Blackburn rovers in January but it fell through.

I am cautiously optimistic with this if it happens.

Hope not

He comes across as a bit of a c0ck!

Why what has he done to merit this assumption?

Plenty of potential. I can deal with this. :)

Hopefully we have an option to sign him. It doesn't seem like his career is currently going anywhere.

Only 22 as well.

Could be a very clever move by Hearts.

Or it could go horribly wrong.

Funny, I wondered about this guy but thought Hibs would be his destination, due to Hibs and their love of the loan system and ofcourse Lennon
