Apologies if this was posted before and I missed it.  It's rather long, but I really enjoyed this.

He argues that better football is produced not by on-the-ball technical skill, but by collective movement off the ball.

 

The author is also the first team coach at Lowland League side BSC Glasgow.

Cruyff once said that in any game you only get 2 or 3 minutes of actual ball time and the other 87 minutes were what makes a truly effective player (or words to that effect)

Decent article, but doesn't really say a lot. Some teams play a possession based game, others play a counter attacking game.

 

Lots of big words and comparisons though!
