Nothing wrong with a pitch invasion that is peaceful, but that wasn't. 6 Rangers players were attacked and so was David Weir.

If that is true, they will get the book flung at them and rightly so. No need to attack opposing players when you should be overjoyed with happiness

Nothing wrong with a pitch invasion however imagine a few of the other fans will be frustrated that they got no lap of honour.

The few who decide to start fighting in the biggest moment of your footballing life you just have to laugh at.

Hopefully they were caught.

I'm delighted that there is the scenes at the end hanging over them.

Most of us have 3 cup winning memories with nothing to taint it.

Surely this requires stripping of the cup ?

Can the "no lap of honour" be confirmed?

Prick Dung just on Radio Scotland condemning the pitch invasion. He then admits that in 1977 he was on the pitch at Wembley after Scotland's 2-1 win and helped himself to some turf. What a tool!

If they did get a lap of honour it certainly wasn't televised due to the delay of clearing the pitch

Find it hard to give a toss about a pitch invasion.

This.

I would find it amusing if they get a large fine though.

Could have been carnage if the Newco fans had really run on. I would give the Hobos a very hefty fine ie- 500000 ando take the cup off them Scumbags

and send them back to Ireland

Can understand the emotions taking over had it just been a pitch invasion and all peaceful. That was not a peaceful pitch invasion though, players have been assaulted, vermin scum deliberately made straight for the Sevco end. That is not euphoria and pent up emotions being released it is thuggish, vermin scum behaviour and they will be hammered for it and rightly so.

They won't be stripped of the cup but could find themselves being the first team ever not allowed to defend the trophy because of a ban.

After over 100 years, they finally win the cup. For any other club, that would result in joyous scenes of celebration, players dancing on the park, fans applauding them as they make the most of a lap of honour, everyone singing and enjoying themselves.

Instead, these utter clowns manage to dilute their own victory, deny themselves the very scenes they have desired all these years, and bring an avalanche of disdain and abuse onto their club.

In 1998, we were throwing scarves to our players, whilst in 2016, they were throwing punches at the opposition players and staff.

I suspect the media frenzy from the west coast media will be lining the SFA up to remove Hibs from the Europa cup and put Rangers in their place.

Had there been a large scale pitch invasion in 1998, 2006 or 2012, you can bet your bottom dollar I'd have been part of it!

It's a bit of fun, which didn't escalate into anything serious.

i can see the pitch invasion more of relief release of pressure or pure joy but attacking the sevco players thats out of order the beaks should throw the book at them.

That's the point though isn't it? There wasn't even in 98 after all we had been through when beating a proper quality Rangers team.

Pitch invasions cause safety issues - as evidenced today.

Hibs should be looking at a huge fine. Look at the shite the SFA has tried to throw at us this season for feck all.

There was a large section of the vermin heading straight for the Rangers end when the pitch invasion started, that  indicated wilful provocation and  possible incitement to a square go.. lol;

There's a massive difference between running onto the pitch in celebration, and running on to chib the opposition players.

I see absolutely nothing wrong with a pitch invasion. There is everything wrong with running onto the pitch to assault someone.

99% of people that ran onto that pitch today done it to celebrate. The other 1% went on to break things and hit people.

I didn't insinuate in any way, shape, or form, that assaulting people wasn't anything serious, so you deserve that  right back.
