Lola by The Kinks.  I was in awe of the lyrics but did not have a clue what they really meant until a bit later in life!!

Салатные палочки

Bought my first single and album on the same day.

Got a ?10 Our Price gift voucher and bought Definitely Maybe but then realised 'Whatever' wasn't on it so bought that as well.

Before then, I just used to borrow all my sisters tapes.  If I had access to finds before then to buy singles my first one would probably have been "The Bartman".

My first single was Lonely Boy by Andrew Gold. It spoke to me because me mum had a little girrl and I was no longer the baby. I still  love it.

First album was Going for the One by Yes. I bought the CD of it last year. I'm not really into prog but it's great.

First album which was specifically bought for me at my request was the Rocky IV soundtrack. Similarly the first single was Band Aid Do They Know It's Christmas - think they were Christmas presents 1985

I think the first single I bought for myself was A-ha, The Sun Always Shines on TV
