Booked flights last night to Florida, yay indeed.

A friend has a condo out there so it’ll be a fairly cheap holiday too. Roll on June.

Condominium. I suppose we’d say a flat or maisonette on a complex with shared gardens and a pool.

For once in my life I have my own bit of good news, after being agency staff at the Council and brutally emptied on 3rd Jan this year, I have found out today I have a new full time position...at the Council, different dept, much better salary, holidays, flexi time etc ?

I’m not sure if this is congrats or commiserations. I just passed my 4 year anniversary last month and I’m starting to stagnate.

Well done though. Which dept?

Haha, this'll be the third time they have employed me, twice under agency, once in call centre, then in planning and now in ICT

The best thing is the flexi leave. I took 13.5 days during the last holiday year. It takes no time to build up enough for a day off.

I started agency, went fixed term and then permanent.

Good luck. I hope it works out. I’m just jaded and need to get my arse in gear and find something else.

I already had next week booked off work but at lunch time I thought I'd try my luck. Now got tomorrow off as well.

Got a nice bottle of bowmore 10 year old aged in sherry casks. Looking forward to my sore head tomorrow.

Found an old Tivo box in my mates room (I was looking for a tape measure). Plugged it in and it has old Match of the Days from about four seasons ago.

My yay is, I put a bet on yesterday for the grand national. I got 66/1. Today it’s 22/1. I’d be one happy puppy if my 66/1 comes in ??.

  • 1 month later...

Went to watch my local team play a cup game yesterday.

Ended up being ballboy as their keeper was taking so long to fetch the ball from the field of sheep behind the goals when they were 3-0 up. (Seethe thread material)

Got back to car only to discover my car key had fallen out of my pocket.(more seethe)

Retraced my steps from car park to pitch - 4 fences to climb over and several fields to cross. Hunted in areas where I thought they might've fallen out. Found them in sheep field within 15 minutes...hence the YAY thread.

Lost 3-2... :(

Were Ness Home or at Whitedale?

Ness never cut the grass so it’s like playing on a sloped hay field. Whitedale, if you don’t score, the nearest fence is about 40 yards away!

Getting up at 5am, having a good breakfast, going for a run through the canal/water of leith then showered and dressed with a cup of coffee or tea before anyone else is up. Wouldn't go back to getting up past 10 even at weekends if you paid me.
