Mama Cass was cool I sort of get why you say that, the Janis who was swigging Bourbon on stage while speedballing was pretty wild, but singing the Mercedes Benz song while she was running about in a Porsche 356 shows a level of self-aware irony that wraps her up in ribbons of cool for me.
