Cypress Hill - Cypress Hill

Thought about including that but decided against it. The first few cypress albums blew my mind.

I think temples of boom is far better than it is given credit for though.

Saw them live once in Texas. Probably best gig I've ever been at.

Temple of Boom is the one for me.

Death Certificate by Ice Cube has had a lot of play time recently.

Listen to Illmatic by Nas a silly amount as well.

Saw them in Glasgow 2010 was a great gig, but I can imagine the us tours would be much better. Met them at hmv before too.

The second, third and fourth GangStarr albums are amongst my most played.

First few Aesop Rock albums.

Cannibal Ox - Cold Vein

Danny Brown - Old

That'll do for now!

Gangstarr were fantastic, it's a shame how it all panned out. I rate Guru as a top 5 mc quite easily.

Potentially controversial here, but I just don't get the love for liquid swords. Cannot listen to it all the way through.

Public Enemy - Fear of a black planet

Fight the power

Thought the first 2 albums were the best.

Sophisticated Bitch is my favourite track.

Not sure if I'd call it a rap album but by Christ it's a great album.

Paul's Boutique.

It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back

Deltron 3030

Also as a wildcard the Loud Rocks album. Lots of Wu Tang and metal types making a hell of a noise.

Paul's Boutique is a distant second to Check Your Head imo but digging your PE shout hugely

Recently I've been playing Dr Lector by Action Bronson, Radioactive by Yelawolf, To Pimp a Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar, the 2nd Czarface LP, Compton by Dr Dre and the new Snoop Dog LP.

The Snoop one isn't really hiphop and has very little rap but if you like 70's funk and disco, it's worth checking out.

Салатные палочки

You'd be better getting Straight Outta Compton and Efil4zaggin.

Had both of them.  Still thought Greatest Hits was better.

Str8 off the Streetz by Eazy E was pretty good also.  Better that 187 um killa which, Real *********** G's aside, was dire.

I mean, a best of is technically an album, but it's like saying the Blue Album was the Beatles' best imo

Streetz is the only one of his solo LPs I've got. Got Boyz in the Hood 12" which i really like the production. The 808 sound is so cool.

I really like it.

There's a couple of absolute belters but there's not much hiphop. It's produced mostly by Pharrell so it sounds amazing. He is an incredible talent when he makes beats for other people.

Ha yeah! That one is cool. Reminds me of Prince. Actually, the whole album sounds a bit like Prince.

Got a badass Madlib collection but for some reason i never bought that one. What's it like?

I really like it - Freddie's got great flow and the beats are, as you'd expect, top notch. The title track is an absolute belter.

Not a huge rap fan, but like Public Enemy.  They are still releasing good records but don't get much recognition as they are "old skool".

Looking forward to seeing them with The Prodigy in Glasgow.  Should be some gig.

Since watching Straight outta Compton recently I've started listening to more old school rap stuff from back in my youth.

I used to hate Ice Cubes stuff however have listened to his stuff recently and the guy's a bloody genius and am loving his stuff now.

Recently been listening loads to Vince Staples: Summertime '06.

I Think it's absolutely class.

Got his Hell Can Wait EP from last year and that's really good. Have listened to bits of the album but really need to give it a proper listen before I buy.

Maybe not strictly rap, more hip hop, but I've been listening to Endtroducing by DJ Shadow & Donuts by J Dilla last few weeks.

Downloaded 'Meow The Jewels' the other night but yet to give it a proper spin, just listened to bits and pieces so far. Obviously pretty quirky but from what I've tuned into sounds alright.
