This is very good news as I think we will need him in matches against our top  3 or 4  opposition.

Could be one of our best quality guys.

Lets just wait and see......pedigree seems excellent for Scottish Football but there have been many who have arrived and not all have settled or acheived what was hoped.

I would also like him to be given time to settle, get fit etc before we play him. He's not here for just a couple of weeks and can be given time to adjust.

Has it been formally announced yet? I'm assuming if not we've missed the deadline to register him for this weekend?

What deadline for this weekend?

Didn't know there was such a thing, outside of the transfer window deadlines.

We would need to register him, but that was all arranged before the visa application, so could/should of been sorted when the visa was granted, on Tuesday.

He'd need to be registered with the SFA/SPFL to play this weekend. Not sure if it's still the case but teams usually talk about a 5pm Friday deadline because you can't register players if the office is closed. Doubt we would have registered him before his visa was issued, far too much of a risk that you're left with a player you can't use.

The visa was issued on Tuesday, and everything else was in place by then, presumably except for the actual registration.

Did Robbie not say he was a week to 10 days away from getting up to match fitness.  I doubt he will feature at all on Sunday, even if he is eligible to do so.  Maybe see him in action the following week if he is up to speed by then.

Edit - just seen The Real Maroonblood's post, which confirms he won't be playing this weekend.

I'm guessing here but perhaps the scarf above head bit will be done before the game or at half-time so everyone can enjoy and take snaps for the family album.

Not having a go at you Rob but ....

You have not been paying attention to Kickback have you  ? ... don't you realise that after missing a full pre season you cannot possibly get up to speed within 10 days , players will have all this season and the full pre season next year before they can be judged.

That is the percieved wisdom of many of the people who have hailed Rudi as an absolute legend (rightly in many ways)  but a man who was positively allergic to a pre season !!!!

I think he smiled to make the sutuation less uncomfortable. Big fan of Levein, but he ruined a promising interview there

No, Nigeria are fine, but if this guy was as awesome as he is being made out to be he probably wouldn't be plying his trade in the back end of the Israeli league? Just a word of caution that's all, I hope he is great but he hasn't been playing at a brilliant level with his previous club.

I watch Israeli football a lot and can confirm Ashdod are pants.

He's here as a stepping stone to bigger things and I trust Robbie & CL will have done their homework. Levein was a fine defender in his time, and he seems excited.

Good enough for me.

Great, I am also happy to see this signing, just think a lot of people think we have signed Pele. Don't want so much pressure on the guy. He is a great signing for us but just feel we need to have some perspective.
