Ulysses
See all those 9/11 conspiracy websites? Get their names, go visit ARIN and resolve them. Ping them, check them out. And guess what? Almost all of them can be traced back to a handful of sources - I mean 5 at most. And the evidence suggests that they are interlinked. The Internet is fertile ground for conspiracy theories, so it is inhabited by a higher proportion of conspiracy nuts than the world in general. So it's reasonable to assume that these conspiracy nuts will talk about conspiracy. Trouble is that there's always the danger that some conspiracy nuts might just stumble across the truth. But the easy way to stop that is to distract them. Someone is using what is in effect a scattergun version of viral marketing to get the world's conspiracy heads to talk conspiracy on the part of the United States Government - distracting them from the real perpetrators. Now who would want to do that?
