It's already setting up to be a blockbuster of a night. And I haven't even opened my second beer yet.

The mrs cannot stand murphy, not too keen either. With some of the names likely to lose this could be a very fun night.

Popcorn and whisky at the ready

Finger out then. A return to turgid normality beckons surely. Make the most of tonight.

Would it be beyond us to have electronic voting at the polling stations? Just press a button on a screen and they could tell us all the results at 11.30.

happen one day ,maybe even press a button on your phone /tablet

Absolutely detest Yvette Cooper. Just one more reason to detest modern day Labour. Total witch of a woman.

Interesting comments from glasgow Labour's Tom harris .we had good policies but nobody was listening to us. I asked a snp voter what snp policies she liked most, and she just gave me a blank look as if I had horns in my head.

I have a suspicion that the exit poll is not going to pick up the effect of the UKIP vote in England. They're already stealing votes in the north from labour and I'm sure they will do the same from the Tories in the midlands and south. I suspect this will confuse the normal comparison they will be doing against the 2010 election. I still think it might be closer than they are predicting.

Thunderstruck

Christ that's a healthy showing for a GE

East Renfrewshire, and Eastwood before it, always has high turnout. Last two General Elections were high 70's.
