Palmer to be chucked after this weekend.

Sainz to move to Renault for the remainder of the season.

It feels a bit harsh on Palmer, with only 3 races to go after this weekend.

Plus the torpedo will regain his drive at Torro Rosso. Ohh dear

That's Massa retiring (again). Not tok many seats unconfirmed for 2018.

I hope Di Resta gets the 2nd William's seat but since he doesn't bring much financially backing he will probably be overlooked.

Real trouble at the release for Raikkonen...one of the pit crew injured as the tyre was not changed

He's out of the race

Hamilton up to 3rd and tyres seem to be the deciding factor here with Vettel perhaps having to stop once more and the Mercedes going to the end of the race

Alonso on target for a good finish as well

The mechanic adjusted his leg even further in front of the back wheel as they wrestled to try and get the wheel off just a second or so before Raikkonen drove off. Kind of wished I didn't rewind the tv now, as its a shocker of a leg break.

Haven’t seen anyone criticise Raikkonen for his attitude after the incident in the pits. After he stopped, he strolled back across the pit lane, never went over to see how the mechanic was and then just disappeared in to the back of the garage. Afterwards in the post race interviews, when he was asked how the mechanic was doing and what his injuries were, Raikkonen said that he didn’t know how he was, or what his injuries were and also said he hadn’t even seen what happened either. What a real nice guy and team player he is.

Lewis Hamilton leads the Championship

How did that happen

Definitely recommend watching these last moments / incidents - Red Bull crash is above then last 4 laps

Hamilton is good but as well as that he's always been a lucky driver and today is huge proof of that.

Sometimes the skill is staying out of trouble.

Hamilton just evened up the bad luck he's had so far this year.

Ferrari would be been team orders letting Vettel win. Bottas just did that differently today.

Yet bad luck has prevented him winning 2 more championships.. 2007 blown tire and in 16 only reliability allowed Rosberg to win. Vettel favourite this year reagardless

His last retiral was Malaysia in 2016, one of two that season that was apparently blighted by dreadful luck. And only 20 retirements in over 200 races. And you could say he was lucky when he won his first championship as it was a dreadful decision from another team to not changed tyres that won him it.

Max Verstappen to win in Monaco.

I saw mentioned in an article that the Red Bulls sound different to the other Renault powered cars. I think this season is going to be one of constant rule checking, Ferrari have already had their halo wings banned and their power unit is to be looked at because of the way it collects charge.

Made some free money on ricciardo yesterday.. was always going to be a red bull pole.. they were miles ahead on pace in Barca sector 3.. verstappen is always to much of a liability and even though he generally hold a raw pace advantage.. not at monaco.. and he usually bins it.. have a feeling something bad will happen to ric in the race tho

Lewis moaning and crying about Monaco being crap.

As it has been for 30+ years.

Which he never moaned about when he was winning it.

He's a complete throbber.

Nae luck Lewis!!  He'll deserve it if he wins now!

And in typical Hamilton style whinges about his car being broken, at the same time as he is slicing past the back markers at will due to how good the Mercedes is. The boy's a bawbag.

Pretty sensational the ups and downs this year.

They seem to be saying Ferrari have the better car. But mistakes by Vettel costly.

Hamilton done well.

hamilton should have lost the victory. he only got a reprimand for coming into the pit lane then cutting across the grass as to not come into the pits. yet kimi got a 10 second penalty in the previous race for something that normally has been classed as a racing incident

Ricciardo to leave Red Bull at the end of the season and join Renault.

Didn't see that one coming if I'm honest.

This is a guy who has beaten Verstappen on points both seasons he raced with him and beat Vettel on points in the season he raced against him.

What a strange response. I made the post on viewing the incident in real time. That was how it appeared. I have no interest in being 'controversial'.

People will most likely say its over after this weekend. Ferrari who made more mistakes in qualifying leaving Vettel 9th v Hamilton on pole need Hamilton's car to start breaking down.

Shame when it looked like it could be a classic battle this year.

As long as his car is reliable, then nothing to stop him. The best car, best driver = Championship number 6

Completely agree, was extremely unlucky in the first half of last season, but then second half he just showed his class with a bit of help from Ferrari completely bottling it. Hoping Bottas can get a few wins as well next season, lost his way towards the end of the season

It is all about if he can keep his temperament sometimes loses his cool and makes rash decision but defo a future world champ, just needs a car with a reliable engine... Thats a some claim to fame that, I'd be hassling him for free tickets ?

Formula 1 Drive To Survive on Netflix is an excellent documentary series following the whole of last season with a lot of access to the teams and drivers. With the notable exceptions of Mercedes and Ferrari. It also becomes very clear why there is a time lapse before pit  radio communications are broadcast.
