I have tried to send 52 gb worth of music to a memory stick, it took 15 hors to do so,

But when I check the memory stick all the song titles & album titles are there but not the actual songs,

What's went wrong?

Also when I use my WD 2 TB external hard drive ( powered) it all transfere with out a problem,

So I have it down as a mem stick prob, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

David.

Not sure. Could you not send it by WeTransfer or something like that?

The files in question don't have excessively long file-names? Only thing I can think of - or your system/flash key couldn't cope with the amount at one time.

Might be worth trying a small copying session first and see if it doesn't timeout.

There are fake flash keys on sale same as memory cars, as daft as it sounds.

Did your just yank it out?

After you transfer them, keep the stick in fire a wee bit and make sure you use the remove disk safely option (or something like that) in the bottom right pic screen.

Rudolf's Mate

Think Sinbad might be right. If you're attempting to do one big file dump, one of the formats only allows files of 2gb transfers. Can't recall which.

I'd have thought because it was music that they'd be separate files and small in size but it could be because of this.

Easy way is reformat and change to ntfs (I think fat32 is restricted).

Sounds like a classic fake; re-format it to test what it reports its capacity to be afterwards

Where'd you get it? 60GB is an unusual number, should be 64

52gb of music?

Are there even that many songs in the world?

I have a hell of a lot more than that ;-)
