CL has arrrived at Tynecastle .

Whta role is planned for him...?

It would be silly not to have him as manager if we have him at the club. If Locke was happy to stay and learn under him then he might, in time, be the right man for the job thus allowing Levein to move upstairs.

Manager with Locke moved to coaching role if he wants to stay.

I don't think Locke will accept a demotion...

Would be a shame to lose him altogether then.

He would be a fool not to JayJay as I would be very surprised if there is another job within football

that has GL's name on it!

He'd get something in lower leagues.

Robbo didn't accept demotion and that hasn't worked out wonderfully for him on the management front...

Manager please. Locke as assistant.

This would be the sensible decision. There is no point of CL being at the club (at this time) and NOT being manager at a hugely

important time for us.

it will be interesting to see what happens today. can only imagine that levein has been brought in to be manager. If thats the case then i cant see locke being offered any role that he would accept.

Hopefully the door is locked. Really not up for his dire boring football.

I feel the same but if it was a straight choice between him and Locke then it has to be Levein.

I think the experience of a manager like CL is exactly what we need just now.

I'm not sure his style of play suits our young guys, though.

Nobody likes to be the bad guy and tell it how it is except Michael Stewart.

Levein as DoF and Locke as manager/head coach would be my preferred option.

Surely the way JJ acts, he will get a job at Dunfermline where JJ will retire at the end of next season and is to become DoF there so Gary Locke could get a job there.

All depends if Craig wants to get back on the training field on a day to day basis for me, then he will be manager

Just don't see him as a DOF but who knows!!

or they're not emotionally invested in it. The c quality of his performance is debatable but I think he'd get another job off the back of this season alright.

I can't see Levein becoming a DOF somehow. He's still young as far as managers go and will want to be hands on. It looks like Locke will go IMO.

Harsh on Locke? Yeah maybe but we can't allow sentiment to come into this.

And thats the cold facts. I hope Gary can realise that this was not really his time and no one is going to judge him as a failure if he steps aside and continues to develop the kids on the trg pitch, his time will come and i hope his pride or ego dont stop him being part of what i think is going to be a real innovotative project over next few yrs

If CL has been spotted 'publicly and openly' at Tynecastle before anyone has been served notice of termination of contract then it is unlikely he will directly be taking anyones job directly.

He will be a consultant initially to put a structure in place. It is then up to the football employees whether or not they accept / apply for the new roles.

After the review, Levein may take up one of the roles vacated / candidates not up to scratch / new roles introduced.

That's how normal business works but then again, this is football.

If anyone believes that GL is a better manager than CL, they are fools!

Could not agree more too many folks judgement clouded be a few meaningless games.

Boyd to sign as player coach only if Lockie is still here.

No from me. Levein is not the manager to bring us back up.

Do you think GL is?

I'd say this has already taken place, over the last month or two. Everything will be ready to put in place.

DoF with Locke is gaffer is a stupid idea.

Levein as manager would be the right move.

It may however be awkward for Locke to go from managing these boys to suddenly just being a coach.

Pride will be hurt, so he may be on his way out.

That said, being a massive Hearts man might mean he may well be able to put his pride to the side.

Anybody else and I'd imagine there's no way they'd take a step back.

Would be very happy to welcome Craig back. Think he's the right man to get us back out of the Championship at first time of asking. Would like Gary to be part of his team though.
