Spoiler I dont think Buckles is really H. He is a patsy. However it was very clever of the writers to suggest this as we assumed H was an intelligent criminal mastermind who has evaded detection for years. However we are now lead to beleive it was this buffoon. I dont think so. Show was never the same after Lindsey Denton was killed off. I liked the scene were Joanna Davidson was rescued and that hatchet faced miserable cow of a prison screw got caught. The highlight really. Stu_HMFC
Line Of Duty was a massive let down. surely the ending was not the way they wanted to end it. with James Nisbett and Spain I wonder if they had plans to have him in the show and film in Spain but with Covid maybe they had to change the ending. It might just be a thought but why use James Nesbitt for a few still pictures could of used anyone.

Most of the actors are like competitor winners. This was always going to happen because when Line of Duty’s appeal seem/ to be that it is shite, how were they supposed to deliver a decent ending? Samuel Camazzola
Watched the LOD finale for a second time. With the expectation of an explosive finish removed, the episode is far better than what was widely reported. There are still several plot holes but in no way as bad as made out to be. There still has to be someone with power involved to have the influence to place people in specific roles. The folk previously identified as bent are no longer in position to do this so there has to be someone else. Expect another series/mini-series to potentially wrap up some points. A robust centre forward
Did anyone watch the Deutschland series (83,86 &89) shown on More 4. Three series, set before and up to the fall of the Berlin Wall from 1983. All about espionage and double agents within East and West germany, CIA & South African terrorist organisations, to make 3. Although mostly in German it had English sub titles. It was tucked away on More 4 but deserved a wider audience. Plenty of violence and bonking! Great acting and story lines. In my opinion it is well worth a view

scott herbertson
My wife and I are into the third series of Martin Beck (swedish detective series on Amazon Prime) I'd recommend it for pretty consistent entertaining detective stories of the whodunit variety. It's a bit dated in places but plenty o good content - each episode is complete in itself and about 1 hour 20 long. Interestingly they didn't use a single on of the husband and wife authors' original plots so far. For those who like reading I would also thoroughly recommend the book series -written in the 60s and 70s. The first Scandi noir series ever written and still by a long way the best IMO I am a bit biased in that respect, having written about them way back in the 80s. Well worth a read - make sure you read them in the right order though - they were published in the wrong order in the UK at first! My article about them is in this book http://georgekelley.org/forgotten-books-281-100-great-detectives-edited-by-maxim-jakubowski/

PortyJambo
The 7th and final season of Bosch will be available from 25th June on Amazon. I'm a big fan of Michael Connelly's books (have read every Bosch one) and have enjoyed the show too. They changed some of the stories and characters (what show doesn't) but they've mainly stayed true to the novels. And I'm also looking forward to the new Lincoln Lawyer series that Netflix are making. It would be good to see Bosch appearing as a guest in the show (he appears in the books, but won't spoil by saying why), but I imagine they might have to re-cast him as would be surprised if Titus Welliver will be able to jump from an Amazon series to a Netflix one. Matthew McConaughey starred as Mickey Haller in a Lincoln Lawyer film a few years back, which was ok, but like a lot of book it probably lends itself better to a TV series rather than a film. I’ve read most of the Bosch books and wasn’t convinced by the casting of the TV series at first but changed my mind very quickly. I would have liked more jazz in the soundtrack as it’s a big part of his character. I also got confused when the did mash ups of different novels into one season but that wouldn’t be an issue to anyone who hasn’t read them.
