HBO Max UK launches 26th March so looking forward to that.

https://www.hbomax.com/gb/en

Basic package available free on Sky :-)

I see that Disney+ is going to be available "free" at the same time to Sky TV customers too, along with HBO Max, if you've got an Ultimate TV package anyway.

No doubt the subscription price will go up accordingly in the near future to cover it...

@rudi must stay Glad you enjoyed the Dinosaur series.

My apologies - the thread is  ' recommend a tv series' - not criticise one, which is what I have done here.

@Tazio this Netflix series seems very good, though only on episode 2.

Plenty of posts on here, from me as well, to 'recommend a TV series....to avoid', so don't think there's any issues with posting if you didn't like something. We've all got different tastes, so there's plenty of disagreement to go around

Eric Dane, who was in Grey's Anatomy, Euphoria, Last Ship and many other shows, dies from ALS aged 53.

I can't say I ever thought he was a good actor, but saw him recently in Countdown on Prime and so a slight shock to now know he's died. Way too young for anyone to die.

Finally getting round to watching Fallout.

Coop looks so much like Shankland (in the flashbacks, not as a ghoul )

Very much enjoyed the first three episodes of season 2 of Paradise on Disney+.

Weekly episodes for the season of the season is a bit nippy though.

Just watched the first couple of episodes of 'Dirty Business'. Drama about water companies dumping sewage into rivers and on to beaches. Tough watch at times.

AI Confidential with Hannah Fry

BBCi

3 documentries on our use of AI, watched first two so far.

One on AI Chat box that lead to a young loner being arrested at Windsor Castle plotting to murder the Queen.

Second on Uber and Tesla's autonomous cars, with horrific accidents. Startling watch.

Knight of the Seven Kingdoms. Much more light hearted than other GOT series so far and I thought the young lad who played Egg was excellent. 8/10.

I've got 1 episode to go. I think it's alright, not really getting the hype on it though.

Titanic Sinks Tonight (Iplayer)

My daughter is doing a project at school about the Titanic. She watched the movie at her mums for research, so I thought I would try and add some facts to assist her. We watched this on one sitting (4 parts) and I found it compelling viewing.

It has actors telling the stories of individuals who survived in their own words.

It brought home the true horror of that night, how so many things could have prevented it being such a disaster and also horrific decisions that had to be made any terrible circumstances.

There was a really good documentary on either Channel 4 or 5 re “ 10 mistakes “ think it was 10 . Anyway it was excellent . Maybe on their 4 or 5OD

Was that the one where they showed how one of the other boats may not have seen the light signals from Titanic due to a mirage effect on the water? I saw a doc a couple of years ago that may be that one. I will look for it - thanks.

Can't remember the last time I got so angry at a tv programme. Episode 3 just makes you want to kick the screen in.

Have you been on your break?

Meanwhile, in "Poster discovers a series from 10 years ago" news, we've been watching This Country.

Not sure why I missed it back in the day, but we're all enjoying it.  Very quotable, too.:laugh4:

Try 24 years for me.

I'm really enjoying House on Netflix.

I doubt I will watch it all, about 8 series of 22 episodes.

Done well to watch 12 so far.

Anyone else still continuing to watch Fallout S2 and still wondering what the heck is going on?

Is it bad? I just finished season 1 and the first episode of 2. Now I’m nervous. I liked season 1. My wife watched 5 mins and then I heard the usual  “nope, I’m going upstairs”

If you liked Tehran you might like Fauda and Hit and Run.

Also The Spy with Sacha Baron Cohen. This one I loved.

No not bad just hard to follow.  I thought S1 was good and was looking forward to the next season.  My son says if you have not played the game then all the various flash backs and characters merge and it gets confusing.  I watched S2 but in all honesty not a clue what was going on for a lot of the time.  I am old though, and have never gamed once in my life so that probably does not help    Just crack on but let me know how you get on.

I’m in the same boat. Had no idea it was based on a video game until my son-in-law told me he played it. I love the music with the flashbacks.

I’ve just spotted a new series from the Yellowstone universe. Marshals on Paramount+ following Kayce the youngest son after he joins the US Marshal service.

Also in new releases Young Sherlock on Amazon. Another Guy Ritchie series, this time about the early years of Sherlock Holmes (obviously).

Really well put together series 4x 1hr episodes.

Hijack season 2 on Apple+, with Idris Elba returning in the main role. Enjoyable enough, if even more OTT than the 1st season, but happy if they just put it to bed now before the 3rd season features a hijack of an Uber/tuk-tuk or whatever they think of next
