This isn't trance (prog house, right?), but since I'm slavering about my time in Sydney in 2000, this is what Sasha dropped at midnight on Hogmanay on Bondi Beach. Amazing times.

Really difficult sometimes to differentiate between genres as they have an element of trance, house and even techno about them. Not the ones you've posted, just in general. Edited by Rudolf's Mate

Is this trance? Not sure, but probably the track that opened my eyes to electronic music.

Paul oakenfold, 1994 goa mix. Great track, in one of the greatest mixes ever made, imo.

Saw Oakenfold in Sydney in 2000. Wasn't at Home, though- was some big event at a university campus. Chicane also played live. Loads of Orientals running around smothering themselves in Vicks Vaporub.

Anyway, on the point, "original" trancey version of Silence was from around then. Amazing track.

Mystery Land also amazing. But good example of what you refer to as the flaky division of genres.

Oakeys set from Home in Sydney was on BBC essential mix. I have the set and it is one of his best ever. He dropped Sisko "Light Over Me" mid set which is one of the greatest Trance Tracks ever.

Delirium "Silence" the original

The more popular remix by Tiesto in search of sunrise remix.

Sisko Light Over Me

I've just been listening to it! Its a thing of beauty.

I've also got the mini disk of the Cream set from when I was there. Agree on how good the sets are. Sky dive is on the Home set too I think. Another good tune from that era.

Ferry Corsten's alias right there

Moonman, also - Galaxia was another classic.

Also went by System F and Gouryella (both definitely trance releases).

He's got far too many old aliases haha. Vimana and Veracocha were two others

Seen oakenfold at Cream, Liverpool in October last year. His set was tunes chosen by folk on Facebook. You'll find it on Mixcloud under Cream Grand Finale.

Doesn't get better than Lustral for me.

Banging tune in the 90's . Still is.

Songs or proper mixes eh?

I could put forward a 1000 songs.

Wasn't a huge trance fan tbh but there's no doubting there was some classics.

Binary Finary, El Ni?o etc however a lot of the newer stuff is generally ruined with the vocals.

+1 on the Kearney stuff. The guy is superb and one of his most recent tunes is absolutely outstanding

Been waiting over a year for that to get a full release. Still no date yet.

Not quite trance but Dutch DJ Talamanca is worth a listen some nice chilled Balearic tunes! New album on Spotify called arrivals & departures brilliant on a nice summers day!

I used to love trance music in my teens.  A few months back I found my Trance Nation 3 CD which had been gathering dust.  This CD must have been released way back in the early 2000's but I had forgotten how good it actually was.  I prefer house/techno these days but I still enjoy listening to classics like this.  Trance Nation 1 is probably the best Trance CD ever though.
