Have you seen Honest John on Facebook

“Scotlands going to the World Cup

Im going to the World Cup

See you there

Let’s do this”

Its embarrassingly awkward cringe .

Most of us who live and pay taxes in Scotland John can’t afford to go

Have a happy Jolly though

whilst Holyrood continues business until the 27th June before holiday break - you should be back for that.

Is he taking annual leave or is this another of his business trips that just happens to coincide with Scotland's World cup matches?

He has admitted that football is not really his thing, but when pressed he said he was a Hearts supporter but could not name our then captain.

Honest John Swinney, or Mr Angry when asked questions about his party, was asked this morning if the ring fenced money donated for a referendum was still there and able to be used if he called a referendum in 2027.

He refused to answer.

He was asked if any of the money was used to pay back the loan given to the SNP by the Weir family and if it had been used to pay them back, he refused to answer.

🤔🤔🤔

John says the money raised specifically for independence campaigning can legitimately be used by the SNP for day to day spending because the SNP is the party of independence.

I'm sure that wasn't clear to the people giving the money.

Day to day spending like coffee making facilities?

SFA levels of smoke and mirrors from the Natz.Delaying Murrell’s court appearance until after the election to allow his brief to build his case, then Mr Sturgeon pleading guilty within minutes has to be checked by VAR.

Clear as day that they wanted their flock blindfolded until after the shit hit the fan.

Fair comment. I'm not sure if it would have changed my vote but up until this week I had some respect for Swinney, that's gone.

SNP actually needs an election defeat to regroup and push for independence. Right now, they enjoy the Scottish Parliament gravy train too much.

That's the reason they don't really want it. It won't stop them shouting about it as they know it keeps them in power.

I've no idea what an Independent Scotland would look like, now we know what has been happening on Sturgeon's watch.

Yup, perversely voting SNP might be the best way to prevent independence

A Scottish council acted unlawfully by failing to provide single-sex toilet facilities at a new primary school, a judge has ruled.

Lady Poole concluded on Thursday that West Lothian Council had failed to comply with legal requirements at a school in its local authority area.

Common sense at last

Hey Swinney leave these kids alone !

Are you two talking about West Lothian council that is run by a coalition of every party except the SNP or a different West Lothian Council?

They were  operating outside the  law due to the tacit support of central Govt who haven’t got their act together by literally laying down the law on this issue . It’ll be a wake up call (  yet again another. ) to the SNP to get their act together .

Unless they fancy spraffing more tax payers money going to court , and losing .

oh and it’s similar in the rest of UK so not just a Scottish thing .

Read up on the Supreme Court ruling last April which re clarifed the rights of women and girls to single sex spaces. The British and Scottish Govt have delibrately dragged their heels by not  instructing services, institutions etc implementing this.

Well aware of the ruling. Your criticism of this was of the Government though, which at the time the School was built was SNP and Green. 2 parties not in control in West Lothian.

The math doesn't add up.

Of course it won't add up, Math is not singular its plural, its a multi discipline set of rules split into Geometry Algebra and Trigonometry . Using a cringe Americanism. ITS Maths. You don't say do the Arith.  Nothing can add up taking a single parameter and do nothing with it.

Point is though the council are guided by government policy, Do the Maths

If that's the case whats the point in having parties contending council elections if they just have to implement Gov policies anyway?

Just let the Governing party appoint councillors.
