Has/will be approached to take over I have been told.

Would be fairly seething if this were to occur.

From what I heard it'll be next week before a final shortlist is drafted, let alone any approaches being made.

Will be very disappointed if this turns out to be true.

Didn't Sergei say in the Q & A the other day that a short list had already been drawn up?

John McGlynn, though? No thanks - good guy, but we need better.

I dunno mate. Just what my mate said last night... I would imagine there will be applicants still to submit their interest given it's only been days since PS/Hearts announced the news?

And this is nothing more than a hunch - I reckon it'll be end of the month/early July before an appointment/reshuffle is made.

It would make obvious sense.

He has knowledge of Hearts. He knows Romanov. He would fit the wage structure. He has knowledge of Scottish Football.

Not saying he is the man but you'd have to listen to what he has to say surely.

You could say the same of any number of people, all of whom better options than McGlynn.

Aye right hefty wedge to set him up for life or working away for next to nothing at Raith if he is offered the job he would be straight here. But **** me we would be as well going back and getting JJ(i dont want that, just saying)also think if we get him it pretty much tells you that John Murray is the main man at Hearts now.

And to think some people were outraged at the thought of Pressley taking over....

Seriously though Hearts, there is the "cheap" option and the "cheapest" option. Got to be a better candidate than McGlynn.

If Raith Rovers fans would be bothered about losing McGlynn, I'd consider him for Hearts.

They're not.

No style at all.

Wonder where he got the idea for the cap and glasses look?

Who did he assist at Hearts again?

Even Raith fans think he's shit. However, with the wages we're supposedly offering thos is the level we'll be looking at sadly:(

OH JESUS CHRIST I HOPE NOT

Thanks for you request but, while the selection process for a new manager does fall within the overall umbrella of His sovereignty, I have it on good authority that He's leaving it to the management team at Tynecastle to pick the man.

I thin his "source" regularly trolls him to see what he can get him to believe.

File him under 'Snakey'.

Hasn't done anything to warrant getting this job.

I've filed this in the tray marked 'Ill-informed Bullshit'.

Wouldn't even bother filing it TBH. With no offence intended Jamiej's source is about as reliable as diarrhoea.

He modelled his summer look (without the cap) on this guy :097:

Btw McGlynn signed a new contract at the end of the season so there would have to be compensation paid ( probably peanuts) but hopefully that would rule out any move.

A short list! Reminds me of the Blackadder II episode when Lord Melchett unrolls the scroll with the list of nominations for the job of Chief Executioner.

Sergejus Fedotovas unrolls scroll and announces........

'Nominations for the job of Head Coach:'

'1) John McGlynn'

<comedic pause>

Fedotavas rolls scroll back up

Can't see John McGlynn being appointed but he is as logical a candidate as Colin Cameron, Steven Pressley or Paul Hartley.

Franny Jeffers as his number 2.

Could be a good move and a future manager, Jeffers knowledge of Scottish football is second to none.

Plus the money he has made in signing on fees and doing the square root of feck all as a player. imposter rolleyes.gif
