Brilliant song Neave.

A mate of mine sent it to me over MSN a couple of years ago and it's been on my ipod ever since. Stunning piece of music. Accapella with only effects and no musical instruments.

The only song of hers that i have but it's very. very good.

I've got her album 'Speak For Yourself'. Can fire a few tracks your way if you want.

Absolutley love Imogen Heap, I never discovered her until the OC either. In fact, I've discovered quite a few bands through the OC.

Are they all electronic?

Not as much as the song in the thread, but they all have a bit of an electronic undercurrent.

Don't really know if they're pure enough for your personal tastes though, cosa.

I'll check them on Amazon or something and if they are decent, i'll give you a shout.

I'd reccomend 'Say goodnight and go' and 'speeding cars' - both great songs.

I wish you'd bring back your old avatar, i hate when regular posters change them, it confuses me.

You'll just need to live with it Cos, as I can't be arsed trying to find the old one.

That's the only one I wouldn't recommend

The Walk, Closing In, Clear the Area and Loose Ends as well as Hide and Seek for me.

He sounds like Laurie Anderson singing Oh Superman....and that WAS a great song.

imho the ONLY example of good use of vocoder in a song.

I hate the damn thing - ranks right up there with crass syndrum use as things I'd like to forget ever happened to music in the '80s.

OK, I'll give you Kraftwerk - though they were more 1970's for me, and I tend to prefer the tracks where they don't use vocoder, or the voice processing is disguised.

Four words that win my argument hands down - Herbie Hancock. Neil Young.

And two more for good measure.

Stevie Wonder.

Heard it on the O.C. and thought it was class. Then heard it on Lost. Still thought it was class.

One of the most unusual songs I have ever heard.

the "mmm what ya saaay" part has been my text tone for best part of a year. Had a few weird looks :) Worth it though for the OC connotations.
