Well in my opinion using such slogans is pointless if you are not actually going to do any action with them , its a bit like a middle class student saying he is a revolutionary socialist because he wears a Che Guevara t shirt .

There are background issues that need to be sorted out before anybody will put their head above the parapet Martin ......from what I understand some of them related to what UBIG might be convinced to agree to and others whether it is a viable proposition and last but not least some external organisations that need to be dealt with if any new owners aren't going to be landed with any unwanted surprises........

Sounds like they are doing things correctly ,which is good as i think most of us would prefer if Vlad is moving on that those taking over are the real deal and are doing there homework properly . I hope they can reach an agreement and understand it could take some time .

It's easy to declare, privately or publicly, an interest - Indeed I think there are many parties who would wish to own (save) Hearts.

It is at the other end of the spectrum to have the funds, the business plan and the status to do so.

Then there's Romanov - The figure he's put on the club means nothing, I don't know why people keep mentioning it - The fact that he wants out is the starting point for negotiations.

The rapid rumours, well intended or not, of groups coming galloping over the horizon a matter of days after Romanov's declaration in the press would be the mother of all coincidences.

So yes, horseshit.

However, I don't doubt that more serious parties are monitoring the situation.

I wouldn't expect anything to happen in the short term though as Romanov's position becomes weaker the longer time goes on.

We might find that a buyer (i'm still not sure that's the right word) comes in if Vlad starts to intimate that he is willing to break up the assetts and sell, sell, sell...and it might all be wrapped up very quickly.

Don't expect to hear tangible in the press until then as that weakens the prospective owners position.

Then all we have to do is work our the new owner's intentions.

Just my tuppence worth.

There's only one huge issue that has any bearing on that!

Rangers will live.

I think what your getting at, and I agree, is that it certainly won't be Craig Whyte.

Maybe they contacted UBIG or Fedetovas.

There is only a finite number of people interested enough who would be willing or able to take on HMFC or be able to enlist the backing of others to help facilitate that.

I think there is probably only 2 groups or interested parties with broadly similar aims or intentions trying to put something together - when or if they take things further or make themselves known is really down to the people involved or them becoming known about.

for it to be work in progress, there does not need to be any contact as of yet, if there are any consortia intrested, they first have to raise the funding needed, & develop a business plan (for 5/10/15 years) and once they have done the both, then contact will be made, so hence its a work in progress.

Although obviously vitally important it's not just about whatever price or deal can be agreed with UBIG & Romanov - there are other factors that could possibly hasten or delay or scupper any chances of a deal in the near term - the clubs future cash-flows and anything that might boost or reduce these or have a major impact on the amount of money going in/out will be just as important. People need to fully understand what they would be taking on before they will decide to commit or take things further.

stop bringing harsh realities into the equation C-B. folk just want to click their ruby slippers together and off they go down the yellow brick road.

why deny them the right to go see the wizard and get their wish?

You have got the whole ruby slippers analogy all mixed up I'm afraid.

Anyway...

Most people understand that any potential owners will have a lot of issues to deal with before a deal can be struck, if a deal can be struck - the blindingly obvious post from CB was hardly a golden nugget straight from Donald Trump.

Just love how some folk seem to think that matters like this are done and dusted in a day or two and that all the sums involved are done on the back of a fag packet.

I'm quite hopeful that the New Year will see a new beginning for us.

I cant see someone taking control of the club (be that with or without the stadium) until our cashflows are fixed, which in shortterm means alot of players with be offloaded and very few will come in.

Can see this going on til at least the start of next season when the 19 (i think) players contracts expire
