A German Requiem (Brahms)

Hansel

Recommended Posts

Never really been interested in classical music, but heard this in a documentary about Nazi Germany, 'The Nazis-a warning from history' by the BBC (interesting documentary btw). Really creepy, but beautiful and moving at the same time. :sob: (maybe not the best song to post after today's result) If you can't be bothered with listening to all of it, then skip to about 2.00 in and listen for about a minute.

Has anyone else heard any unusual sounding music they'd like to share?

This could be the shortest thread I've ever started, but hey-ho.

Probably the only connection between this piece and the one in the OP is that both are German.

In 2009, Paul Van Dyk did some work with the Hessischer Rundfunk Sinfonieorchester and conductor Paavo J?rvi.

It wouldn't be the way you'd expect to hear his music, but it was interesting. You don't often get to hear a symphony orchestra playing techno, I s'pose.
