I’d plump for Forrest if anything. I don’t think McKay matches his alleged ability with enough workrate, in general. We need willing players to start the game, people who will run, cover, put themselves into a tackle/block and still bring a bit quality on the ball to retain it. We can’t wait on players having their “baller” moment. We need people looking for it all the time. Not against McKay coming on later if we are still well in the game and we’ve set our own tone. We have craft in other areas between Grant, Shankland and runners with ability in Vargas, Oda etc…. -

I'm amazed people don't see that 2nd half at St Mirren was perfect time for a pacy striker. As for "making all the right runs" , if he'd made all the right runs, he'd have been at the back post for a tap in when Shanks fired it across goal, rather than standing on the penalty spot hoping for a cut back. -
Speak to the school head. Teachers should be well equipped to notice these problems their students are having. They may not have the resources to deal with it so may try and fob you off. There are a few mainstream schools that deal with children with these problems and some are better than others. Go to your GP and ask for a referral to Camhs at the royal ed hospital. Getting correct schooling will be harder than getting a diagnosis.

Eh??? Given I remember clearly the 90s.. I'm just going to dissect your drivel somewhat... Lets see-colin cameron? Signed from 1st division raith rovers. Neil mccann? Signed from 1st division dundee. David weir? Signed from 1st division Falkirk. Gary naismith? Was a ******* hearts youth academy prospect. As for flogel and Adam signed from clubs we could still sign from today. So no idea what you're slavering on about. You're claiming hearts couldn't sign Scottish prospects form the bleeding Scottish championship today? Complete garbage take. -
It's a tough one, though. Without knowing about this particular situation, but just an observation from my own kids saying that classmates who disrupt and distract tend to cause them difficulties in completing tasks and cause them, particularly when they were younger, stress and frustration. Schools are under pressure to support those who have SENs by integrating them into regular classroom routines, but this can have a detrimental impact on the learning of others and make classroom management very difficult. (There's also the issue of kids turning up in regular classes with no English skills - but that's probably for another thread) It boils down to class sizes, IMO. Large classes make it difficult, if not impossible for teachers to actually support each child, not just those who require extra support and attention. We could go the Chinese route of having classes of 50-60 kids and just labelling those who don't keep up as 'a problem' or 'stupid', but that's no good either. It's like we're trying to steer a bike without the handlebars.

Why would we/you care?

Exactly, remember watching him against Rangers before he moved to Chelsea and can’t say he looked all that good.
-
Definitely. I think that thos would be only the third time we have qualified for Europe 3 year’s running too.

Agreed. I would also argue it shows the difference having a player like McKay on the pitch makes to our team. Passes that opens are of final third of others then to get the ball in that tricky are to defend between keeper and defender for a fast player to run into. -

He runs himself into the ground in most games, without creating anything or scoring. We will need more than that on Sunday, at ER he missed to great chances, we wont get that many and if the choice is between him and Oda/Vargas then those two win. -

Vargas is our best attacking player with pace. The question is do we start him or bring him on after 60/65 mins when they start to get very leggy. I'd possibly go with the later. -
Games gone etc !! I sound like a right grumpy auld git but it's just a farce. Even the place in the CL for the Europa winner, I've not really got a problem with. At least if the scenario above occurs then Atalanta will at least be rewarded for winning something. But if they do, it should be at the expense of the lowest team from the Italian league. If they need another team to make up the numbers, then promote a team from the qualifiers that may have actually won their ****ing league. EVEN if that is one of the OF 🤢

Vargas has benefited a lot from injuries to others earlier in the season. It meant he got a lot of game time to adjust. During that time some thought he did little apart from some flashes. It made a big difference in adapting. I always think people need to realise that, as it has not helped Tagawa as you say with Shankland missing only two games -

It's just that I,m intrigued when folk start going on about "Proper" this or that but can never explain it or tell us mere mortals who the proper people are.Is there a list? -

Slightly off topic but I was thinking our goals v Livingston were a sign of what we might be doing next season without Shankland. Getting the ball across the face of goal for tap ins for quicker players ie Vargas, Tagawa, Forrest, rather than relying on a Shankland-esque centre forward to pull finishes and assists out the hat most games. I know Shankland got 2 of those assists but they weren't plays/passes only he could do
