We ONLY won 5-1 the comic book

07 October 2014 - 10:32 PM

I'm posting to let members know that Jambos Kickback will shortly be launching the sale of

We ONLY won 5-1 the comic book

Designed, illustrated and written by a JKB member (of whom more later), this is a 100-plus page hardback-bound comic book story of the 2012 Scottish Cup Final.

It will make a fine souvenir of this famous occasion in HMFC's history, and in the run-up to Christmas it would be an ideal gift for a Hearts-supporting family member or friend - or who knows, maybe a wonderful opportunity to wind up a Hibby acquaintance or workmate.  :whistling:

We ONLY won 5-1 the comic book is being sold as a fundraiser, with all profits going to a hugely important and worthwhile cause - Big Hearts.

So this will be a chance for JKB members to own a unique version of the story of 19-05-12 created by a Hearts supporter for Hearts supporters, and make a valuable contribution to the important community work done by Big Hearts.

We ONLY won 5-1 the comic book will sell for £10 plus p&p, and will only be available for sale online through Jambos Kickback.  We're working with the printers putting the final touches to the book, and we will be making an online order page available to members in the next few days once we're finally ready for printing and shipping.

Right now, we're posting this thread to give members a heads up and a sneak preview - see the attached PDF flyer.  Post and let us know what you think.

Server errors / slow responses today?

04 October 2014 - 05:30 PM

We noticed a couple of comments from members during the game this afternoon about internal server error messages, but other members posted to say that things were fine and we're not sure how much of an issue or how widespread it was.

Could people post here to let us know how they've found the performance of the forum today, and generally in recent weeks?

Maroon or White Sept/Oct 2014 (PHREE MUNNY!)

09 September 2014 - 10:06 PM

We're about to launch an opportunity for our subscribed members to win some money, and it'll be PHREE to enter.

Not saying anything right now, but keep an eye on the thread.

If there were elections tomorrow, how would you vote?

09 September 2014 - 09:58 PM

It's been quite some time since anyone ran a poll on JKB to test party preferences, and with our referendum voting intentions poll running I thought now would be a good time.  The choices are for parties, and we're not really sophisticated enough to offer people a dual "constituency" and "regional" vote in the case of the Scottish Parliament.

But in any case, the poll is asks which party you would vote for in the event of an election to the Scottish Parliament, and also asks which party you would vote for in the event of an election to Westminster.  In common with our referendum polls, there are options for undecided and for those who either can't or wouldn't vote.

General political chat is welcome here, but please keep referendum discussion to the thread for that purpose: http://www.hmfckickb...page__st__21300
