Squad numbers pre-1999

After a gander at LondonHearts and a google, I'm wondering if anyone out there has a listing of the players and their jersey/squad number organized by year, pre-1999. I realize that in the not-so-long-ago (2-3-5) days that players were assigned their number by position, so it was subject to change somewhat.

Any stattos tracking that?
