I despise even the new artificial pitches for bounces, grazes and injuries (and yes, I've played on them and watched professional football on them recently), and even the top FieldTurf pitches wear out quickly, depending on use. If the advantage is the extra usage, that will contribute to them wearing down faster, and they are murder when needing replaced but the budget can't stand it.

I don't have a problem with them being used for training in adverse conditions, but top-level games should be played on grass, IMO.
